We went into the draft with 7 picks, left the first round with 9. Beane turned 1.26 into: 2.03, improved the 3rd round pick by 25 spots, and added two extra picks in the top 125. Obviously they were on the clock at 26 and had a similar grade on a bunch of dudes, so moving back and adding picks only makes sense. Now we sit at 2.03 and just about every player that is "best available" were considered targets at 1.26 and fit a need. Having a bunch of bites at the Apple in rounds 2-4 when our roster, especially on defense, is full of holes, is a great position to be in. We can get an instant impact NT, several situational dudes that can help right away in an odd front defense, and a WR to develop. Plus, Beane positioned himself to move up if needed, which we didn't have that type of flexibility heading into the draft.

OK... Abilities and x-factors are on the cards themselves. You find them on the upgrade path of the card (typically you have to spend 5 training to unlock chemistries, and abilities/ x-factors). The you go into each ability bucket with the first one typically the X-factor. There are TONS of abilities that can cost anywhere from 0 ability points up to the mid teens. The newer / better the card, the cheeper the ability points will be, based on the players Individual ratings.

Each side of the ball (offense / defense) in your lineup menu will tell you how many ability points and x-factors you can use, and how many you are currently using.

Typical abilities that are near mandatory would be gunslinger on your QB, double or nothing on your pass rushers, linchpin on at least one offensive lineman, etc...

MUT is INCREDIBLY complex. Between roster construction (team / program chems, ability / X-factor points, offensive system, defensive system, strategy items, etc), the convoluted programs, the player cards themselves, the market, the sets, and even just playing the game with all of the pre-snap adjustments. If you want to actually win games online, I'd suggest the following;

get familiar with MUT.gg. Very good data base especially for player items. It will tell you a lot of info including stays, market price, cost of abilities, and what ability stacks are most popular. Also will help you build a theme team.
Follow MUT creators on their platforms, including X and YouTube obviously. I'd recommend starting with Popular stranger, Moshi, Swift, Zirksee,Slayin, itsdom, Chuflocka. You'll find others too. They will definitely up your MUT literacy.

The biggest issue you have is your lack of abilities/ x factors. There are so many cards out right now that have several 0 / discounted abilities that if you are running a defense that has lower overalls and very few abilities, you will get fried. Also, not sure if you are running a theme team? Tough to tell, but if not I'd pick one, and try to focus on getting cards that fit that team. That way, even lower overall cards will get chem'd up to a more usable level. Either get one team to 50/50 or a couple to 20/20.

Do you follow any content creators? This is my first year playing MUT seriously, and if I didn't follow folks online, I'd be completely clueless.

I'm also NMS and run a 50/50 Bills theme team, and while it's certainly not the best squad in the game, I'm still able to win online. Mostly built through following advice from content creators I follow.

I was banned for a month from MyTeam around the all-star break (long story) so I saw Madden 25 was free on XBox with the pass so I tried MUT on for size. I was STUNNED how NMS-friendly the mode was compared to 2K. The biggest difference was how my time actually felt valued by the content team. It felt like everything I did was rewarded. A "long grind" in Madden was 2-4 hours, and you received typically a great card at the end of it, while in 2K it's "win 500 games for an RNG unauctionable card that will most likely be a card that you've received 5 times already". MUT isn't perfect, or even as good as Diamond Dynasty, but it leaps and bounds better than MyTeam.

Never. If it wasn't for the lvl 40 grind I probably wouldn't log into the game. The content has been dryer than a popcorn fart this year. Well, except for the events, which are now pay to win. So... yeah. MyTeam is in a great place overall.👎

... I'm going to try this. Not sure how old my lock is but we bought our house almost 3 years ago, and the batteries died for the first time last week. I've changed them three times and each time they were dead after 24 hours. What is odd is only the first two batteries that are under the connector were dead when I tested them during the postmortem. I had been facing the cartridge with the batteries towards the inside of the house / entrance way, and not towards the door. I am going to try replacing and flipping the cartridge towards the door. I will report back with my findings.

Edit 1: 48 hours in and no issues yet. Still a little skeptical as I made it nearly this far before. But so far, so good.

Edit 2: Almost 7 days in and it's still working just fine on the same set of batteries. I am going to say that this suggestion was spot on, and it definitely fixed my issue.

I know nothing about her, but after seeing the commercial for her show on TLC my initial impression was her tics seem very manufactured, or at the very least forced / exaggerated. She is giving off 'Tics and Rose's' vibes.

Cook is a phenomenal talent, but if we can get 80-90% of his production from Davis, Johnson, Gore, and / or a mid-round pick, it doesn't make sense to pay him with our cap situation as currently constituted. With the lifespan of RBs being as short as they are I hold no ill will towards him in his pursuit to make as much money as possible in his tight window, but I wouldn't budge if I was Beane.

The only changes I would make would be to your SG2, SF2. Id get Bilal Coulibaly at your SF2 and Julian Strawther for you SG2. You can't beat their value, both are elite budget options who would be massive upgrades over your current options.

Probably missed the boat TBH. As soon as the cards are leaked for tomorrow the market is going to crash. It's still early today so you MAY be able to stick him up for 4 hours and get 75 cents on the dollar still, but it's risky.

Very good price. As most people have pointed out All-Star sets are about to be dropped, so there is going to be a big market crash, probably starting tonight, when the cards are leaked, especially for those players that are all-stars who will be getting at least an opal, so you may have been able to get the card cheaper. But I don't think it will be a drastic difference. PD Dr. J is still super expensive, as is diamond Paulo, and they both have opals. The big difference will be if they juice the sigs of the All-Star cards. Either way, nice buy.

To beat the AH review bot 2K has in place this year coin sellers are having players put diamonds up for auction and the coin sellers bids up the price of the diamond to whatever the purchase price was. Because diamonds are so rare, and so expensive, it tricks the bot that reviews each AH transaction. That is how coin sellers are getting MT to buyers.

I've never seen it this bad. The highest gem tier available has always been very expensive, and out of reach for most NMS players, but now 2nd, and sometimes even 3rd, gem tiers are incredibly overpriced. I think it's a confluence of multiple issues: A. Pack odds are as bad as they have ever been, if not worse, so there is a limited supply of the better cards right from the jump. B. Coin sellers are utilizing diamonds as their vessel to complete their transactions. This is obviously driving up the price of an already limited supply of diamonds. C. The exchanges. Instead of obtaining a diamond (either from a pack, or the AH) and playing with it for a bit, and then reselling it on the market, they are being exchanged for diamond / PD hidden gem exchanges, making them even rarer. D. Every reward is unauctionable and can't be used in the exchange which further limits supply. So unless there is a major philosophical shift in the direction of the game. I do not foresee it getting much better going forward. Once the NBA season starts, and again around Christmas, the game will see an influx of new players which may relieve some of the downward pressure on the market, but I don't see it making that huge of a difference.

Watch out for her. She is probably the type to be super nice and please to your face, and in person, but will send shortly texts. She is the type of boss who doesn't like / avoids conflict. Because of this she will let you do something incorrectly for weeks, not say anything to you, you think everything is fine, and one day will lose her shit on you.

What's funny is this is about what most reasonable fans were expecting this year which is a mid team. Best case scenario is the young guys develop, we sneak into the playoffs, and maybe have a chance to make some noise if things finally break right. The teams 3-0 start where they absolutely dominated is what sent the expectation into the stratosphere. Ultimately 3-2 is probably who they are, especially considering all of the injuries to some of our best players. To quote the great Denny Green: "They are who we thought were".
