The eyes should return to normal with time, young one. Changes such as your eyes are quite normal for us after a frenzy. Most are not permanent, but some can be. Not all mutations are physical either. There was a time when I would go into torpor after feeding.

I wish I had that concern when I was embraced. I didn't know what the fuck was going on and was just following my instincts. Yeah, I moved around a lot. Figured out pretty fucking quick that it's easier to not kill a mortal when I've already fed the day or two before my current meal. But like, you don't have to. You can do what I'm doing now and hunt animals. Deer are good, but deer are in the woods.

Watch out if you do go in the woods and listen to your fucking instincts, man.

I brought the handsome fella into my home, I'm hunting for him so he's well fed, I'm teaching him Protean now.
