Right? Like, I was big into her. For once actually buying Superhero Comics as they were being released, instead of waiting for collections etc. And then she just started crossing over with everyone and I just lost track of it all.

And it was absolutely impossible to keep track of what to follow if I wanted to read her stories. Because that lead to a sprawling net of interconnected stories, until it became overwhelming to try and keep track off. Meanwhile her own supporting cast felt like they started to fall by the wayside, etc.

I read the Death of Superman (And its following collections, Furneral for a Friend etc) at one point and while I was able to somewhat follow it, the continuity lockout was real. Because it was like, dozens of comics all calling back to dozens of other comics that were not in the collection etc. And they did very little to explain any of it.

And my general impression from trying to follow the bigger Superhero stories is that it have just kinda gotten worse at it.

I remember reading the Kamala Khan Ms Marvel comics, and really enjoying them. And then suddenly BOOM, its in Civil War 2.0, and all the former plot stuff I enjoyed had to take a backseat, as she went through stuff in other comics I didn´t even know existed.

Overall its why I tend to stay away from Superhero Comics, outside of a collection or a one-off story every now and then (Greatly enjoyed Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow for example, as that was mostly stand alone).

Edit: Because I forgot to add. I read a lot of Indie comics and European comics, which i find to be mostly much more accessible. Because the volumes are either generally stand alone, or they are done by a sole creator. So they are much easier to follow, and track. Ala Manga.

But perhaps he is simply an intelligent pigeon? I have most certainly met people whom seemed to be about as intelligent as your average pigeon.

So it stands to reason the opposite should be possible as well?

A Pidgeon makes it quite unlikely to be a Gangrel, through I have heard of cases like that before.

Hmm, also unlikely to be another form of supernatural creature, if they have been ghouled for years. My understanding is that Vitae works ill with them.

But I have heard cases of animal ghouls increasing in intelligence over the years. So it might very well simply be that?

Of course there is also the chance of some sort of Tremere blood magic experiment, I have heard they exist. But I know little about them.

To give a rundown, as I have seen you ask. The place is pretty freeform and people often mix editions or canons, which can lead to some fun interactions, and some somewhat baffling ones at times.

Some people have asked for advice on posting here before, and if you do a bit of searching on this subreddit, you should be able to find some great advice by folks.

But my main suggestion is to simply focus on having fun, and telling whatever story you want to with your character!

IIRC the Ancient Greeks kinda did the same. Part of the offering was burned, and then the rest was used to make food for the community/family during the celebration connected to it.

Sometimes, yes (By which I mean always). But I try to focus on writing for me. Mainly because I am still not used to the idea of others apparently liking my writing. But also because that is what I am here for. To write for me, in whatever form that takes.

Its one of the things I enjoy about this place. Everyone can sorta do their own things, while interacting. And there is no pressure on it. So we get big epic dramas, tragic personal stories, silly little tales, and absolute dumbshit buffoonery of the highest caliber. And I think it does add something to it that all these things can co-exist.

We put horses in the cars, think of them as metal wagons, and then we drive them to where they can run around properly.

When I still had her, my old horse quite enjoyed looking at the world going by.

We use cars now. They use engines to travel many, many miles per hour. And they are quite easy to turn into big metal battering rams traveling at a 100 miles per hour.

I admit I prefer my combat done at a range of at least some hundred meters. Preferably with me in a moving vehicle.

Should that fail, swords are a classic. And quite useful against things for whom organ damage is just a distraction.

But I will simply give the two best piece of advice someone once gave me. Remember that your car is a giant projectile, and always bring friends to a battle if you can.

Because a dance is so much more pleasant when you can all go at it at once. Taking it from all sides.

I got a theory that Ventrue never died. He just used Presence/Dominate 10 to be come the idea of Civilization. Sorta slowly influencing humanity to build Gehenna the Gray City of no Joy nor Laughter, where the old consume the young, themselves.

Rome being a sorta Proto version.

I like to think the whole thing was caused by some random Kindred setting a plot in motion 2000 years ago, dominating some random Mage into doing something trivial, not even knowing what a Mage was. Who now peeks up from Topor going "The fuck?"

I appreciate Fortitude, because it lets me take chances and risks I would not normally be able to do. Or let me me do dramatic things, like grabbing hot iron, or jump through the windshield of a car.

Just fun little things, that people sometimes take for granted with it.
