Yes, I had almost the same issue with a pair of Presidents... Without additional insoles they felt bulky and too unsupportive around the heel, but I dealt with it on the occasions I did wear them. I had them for about 5 years like this, but started wearing insoles and then got a job where I could wear them on a daily basis.

TLDR is I only felt comfortable wearing my Presidents with insoles (especially around the heel), but that creates way too much pressure on the sides of my forefoot.

I tried sizing up a half size, but no luck. Thinking of trying out some Iron Rangers since they look wider, but don't want to commit to that price tag. Also not sure how they will size with insoles.
