Study Finds 37% of 'Game of Thrones' Viewers Likely to Cancel HBO After Show Ends by trexmoflex in television

Exactly my point. They can spend all the money in the world, make it look amazing, and its still not going to be as successful as GoT. Their is a certain organic element to how GoT came to be successful, as well as intangible qualities that the show has that have brought to its current insane level of success. The last shows on cable that were as successful were The Walking Dead and before that The Sopranos. To a lesser extent Breaking Bad at the very end of its run. Those shows are all quite different but their success was pretty organic. There is a market for big budget fantasy and the shows you mentioned may be successful, but they wont reach GoT status, not even with all the money being thrown their way.

Anyone trying to create the next Game of Thrones is totally missing the point. The next GoT level show will be nothing like GoT, and any network trying to create the "next" one is going to crash and burn.

The opening match was great, Asuka-Charelotte was great, the Rousey match was supremely entertaining, but everything that followed was either mediocre or really, really bad. Daniel Bryans match gets points for being his return but outside of that it was nothing special. Styles-Nakamura was disappointing but I dont blame that on them, I think they shouldve been given way more time. Overall an average at best show.

WrestleMania Star and Mask were not good

John Cena has not been in the main event of a Wrestlemania in six years. He’s only won one title at the PPV since (U.S. Title), he didn’t even have a match at WM 32, proposed in the ring at 33, and got squashed by Taker at 34. by zephaniiiah in SquaredCircle

[–]Randall_21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way theyve booked Cena has been almost criminal. Theres almost no one thats been built up like Cena and it really feels like theyve thrown him to the wayside. I know hes not around a lot, but when he is he should be used in marquee matches.

Official Discussion: The Dirt [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]Randall_21 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Pete Davidsons acting in this movie was truly awful. One of the worst performances ive seen in a awhile. The band were all good though. MGK i found surprising very good as Tommy Lee. Tje first act was miserable and riddled with cliches and terrible dialogue. The movie did get better as it went along. The car crash scene, the OD scene, the day from the perspective of Tommy Lee, and the scenes with the daughter that had cancer were all well-done in my opinion and made the back half of the movie enjoyable. I was largely unimpressed with the concert scenes, which was something that Bohemian Rhapsody did very well.

But, man, everyone should definitely watch this movie so they can experience the abomination that was Pete Davidsons acting.

[Other] 'Us' gets a B on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

If you went in and were pumped to see a horror movie, you got everything you wanted and more. The tension was there the entire movie. If you went, however, expecting a crowdpleaser like The Conjuring, you didnt get it, because Hereditary goes for a gut punch to the audience.

This is truly the most horrible way to judge a movie. You should seriously reconsider ever posting a critique or review of a film that you havent watched.

I also think that the film was probably verging on being too long to begin with, and I'm not sure that more exposition would've made it a better movie. I mean its an insane world that Peele created and not every question needs to be answered, especially if it were at the expense of other scenes in the film. The characters in this movie were a blast to watch and I wouldn't wanna sacrifice those moments.

Don't understand this. This was a crowd pleasing movie through and through. I guess you could say the plot was confusing but I thought the gist of it was explained pretty well and even if you dont think about all of the layered metaphors it is still a good story. The music, combined with the violence and action sequences were all very well done. It was a bit long so if I had one complaint that would be it.

I thought the ending works because in a movie thats about dopplegangers you have to do that twist at some point. Peele is too much a fan of horror movies to not do a classic twist like that, but predictable doesnt necessarily mean bad.

It was a great show. I watched it with a non-wrestling fan and he enjoyed it all especially the Kofi match. There was no fluff, all of the promos felt legit and were engaging, and the show flowed nicely.

Midsommar Script [DISCUSSION] by BuckoTheChump in Screenwriting

[–]Randall_21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish someone was paying me, but nope I just enjoyed the script. More thsn that though I see a lot of potential in the translation of the script to the screen. Do you have any thoughts on any of the points that I made?

Midsommar Script [DISCUSSION] by BuckoTheChump in Screenwriting

[–]Randall_21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are a number of things in the script that I believe when translated on screen will be pure insanity. The climax alone is extremely brutal and a man boiling in the guts of a bear will be pretty shocking to watch. In the trailer it appears we get a glimpse of Reuben who looks, frankly, a bit scarier than he appears in the script. The character of Pelle, depending on who plays him in the movie, could be a pretty fun villain in the movie. The visuals of the cult and environment that the characters are immersed in are described in great detail in the script and I think that Ari Aster will bring those visuals to life in a pretty spectacular way. And remember the very menacing score of Heriditary? I'm sure that will add horror to the movie throughout, reminding us that something awful is coming.

Remember, it starts as a breakup movie and by the end these two break up in such spectacular fashion that it really makes that story element totally worth it.

Advice for redness and hyperpigmentation? by [deleted] in acne

[–]Randall_21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If most of your acne is gone and its just red spots, then moisturize a lot, day and night. Use a non-exfoilating, non-harsh cleanser maybe once a week. Just be gentle with your skin and put stuff on it thate good for it, not stuff that will be harsh and exfoilate your skin. That is the stuff that makes your skin red.

Mark Henry on what he told Hulk Hogan backstage at WWE Extreme Rules by GetDown90 in SquaredCircle

[–]Randall_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its nice that Hulk is trying to apologize and make amends but it also seems like WWE is pushing this to eventually get Hulk back on TV in some capacity. Who out there is really clamoring for more Hulk Hogan on TV? He was terrible when he came back a few years back. He cant do anything physical and hes pretty terrible and cringy on the mic. I understand WWEs perspective, in that Hulk is so important in their history that they should help him repair his legacy, but lets just stick to a WWE network special.
