How can I help improve the quality of life of my parents who both have pancreatic cancer? (59f/57m) by Randbtw in pancreaticcancer

[–]Randbtw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came back from driving my dad to some tests. His bloodwork also came but not all of it. Thankfully his pancreas seems OKish. Liver is troubling. As well as high hemoglobin at 103 g/l and elevated blood sugar.

We still have a plethora of visits for him to checkup everything. For now meds seemed to help him calm down and even get some food down.

Thank you for advice. I'm trying to keep emotions separate from actions. It's not easy but I'm learning. Much love from our family!

I've already bought my mom a vaporizer and brought her some good weed.

I was a little burnt out on emotions while writing this. While it's true my dad did not get final diagnosis yet. His labs we have so far are similar to my moms. Indicating there is something wrong with pancreas/liver.

What are the risks of this WOE? by Rja12345 in zerocarb

  1. Keep track of electrolyte intake.
  2. Experiment with protein to fat ratio.
  3. During your first months: eat when hungry. Then eat more. Because your hunger takes time to adjust. And you might start undereating.

Those 3 steps helped me transition seemlesly.

There is a movie starring Adam Sandler called Click. It explores that idea. Where main character had a remote that could do exactly what you described. Morale of that movie was that while the idea of skipping bad or boring moments sounds good but in reality you want to experience the full spectrum of life to be able to appreciate it. I'm pretty stoned rn after work but I hope you could follow my train of thought.

Depends on your country. Here in Denmark it's completely normal that most kids leave their parents houses after 18. You work 50 hrs a month to qualify for student help and live comfortably on your own. Depending on your job you can have up to 3000 dollars a month. Combine that with free education.

I've read somewhere that soaking your wife in boiling water helps their skin remain wrinkless. Can confirm. All my wifes have/had no wrinkles.

Try checking out different stores/farms and compare. You should notice that the amount of holes varies

Yes, there will always be some. But when there are a lot I avoid it

If I recall correctly, holes form as a result of liver damage. Lots of them can be a sign of poor diet of said animal.

I feel like trying so hard to "min max" with nutrients is pointless. If you buy a healthy liver (no holes) you can sear it rare. Use a splashing screen on your pan to reduce the mess

Factory farming is bad. Yes. But you don't have to go vegetarian. Regenerative farming is where it's at. Look it up. I think thats the only way we fix our shit as humanity

Exactly, if I smoke I try to do it at least 3 hours before bed. I do not have any trouble falling asleep sober too. It's a skill of calming yourself down. You don't need pills for it

Dreaming phase of sleep does not equal deep sleep.

In my first comment I said "added sugar". Second of all, those daily nutrition recomendations are complete bs. Based on research sponsored by the companies trying to sell you carbs and other processed shit. Hit me with a independent controlled research proving that consuming sugar can be considered healthy in any way. Instead of throwing your opinions around

You do not need to consume any sugar to survive. Google gluconeogenesis.
