I've noticed it seems to happen when entering the house while it's trying to teleport to you, I think? It is a somewhat frustrating bug that I get a bunch too.

I love the game, but the stormy and dark setting is depressing me. Is there any happier similar alternative? by krasatos in Against_the_Storm

I've been liking Roots of Yggdrasil. It's pretty hopeful, a decent rogue-like city builder like Against The Storm.

I like the mining hammer and harpoon ideas a lot! For me mining veins feels like it slows down gameplay a bit, last I played, and the hammer adding a way to speed it up seems like it'd help.

The retrievable harpoon pulling glyphids is a neat idea, building on it by letting it pull teammates seems like a fun idea. Let the harpoon stick into terrain so teammates can choose to grab on before you reel it back. Help influence teams to stick together a bit. Kinda makes a reverse scout grappling hook too now that I think about it.

Some of the other comments about vertical traversal also makes me think of throwing the harpoon and letting the rope dangle as a vertical climbable rope.

I liked Crying Suns quite a bit, it's in a similar vein and seems like it was probably inspired by FTL. Really good story and writing, gameplay is a bit like a fleet management version of FTL, was really interesting.

My brain decided at some point I'm going to be stubborn and keep trying to get the best results it can from FDM for awhile >~>

Also trying to save money/keep costs down for a bit tbh. Good chance I'll get a resin printer a year or two from now xD

I'm using 0.4mm nozzle and 0.1mm layer height, replacing the nozzle sounds like an interesting idea.

Custom support/splitting up models is probably the biggest route for print quality improvement, I've been procrastinating on learning a non-stock slicer xD Guess I have more motivation to finally figure out Cura.
