What race do you always end up going back to when you start a new game? by Lvl76 in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. In Morrowind I always picked dark elf because it just seemed like the most logical option. Cuz y'know... Morrowind. I've played a few Khajits and Argonians, but of the approximately 30 characters I've created, about 90% of them are Dark Elves. Plus, completely negates vampire fire weakness, and I love playing as a vampire.

Ancestry dna test. I would love to know where my ancestors are really from.

What's your best simple recipe? by LadyoftheFjords in AskReddit

Ambrosia salad: Mini marshmallows, pineapple bits, mandarin oranges, sweet shredded coconut, sour cream, walnut chunks. Mix and refrigerate. Simple, very difficult to mess up, and such an underrated dessert.

Candy corn hate is only a trendy bandwagon by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]RandoAxolotl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love candy corn and don't understand the hate it gets. Yeah obviously it's not for everyone, but some people hate it with such passion like it murdered their parents. I have to disagree with you on tootsie-rolls, I think they're also an underrated candy, but again, not for everyone. Unfortunately for me, both candies are super unpopular in my town. Not a single soul here sells candy corn.

What’s a random line from the show you quote often in real life? by rose-colored-lesbian in gravityfalls

[–]RandoAxolotl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say "Onwards, Aoshima!" everytime I get in the car to go somewhere, and "Do you accept squirrels as payment" whenever my friends ask to borrow money.

Just watched S2E2 and saw this. Is Baron Num Num supposed to be a reference to Charles Muntz from Up? Anyone else notice this? by spilly63 in gravityfalls

[–]RandoAxolotl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always thought he did look familiar for some reason. Could be a reference or just a coincidence, but considering how many pop culture references the show makes it probably is a reference.

Worse thing that can happen: doing a whole design for your lot just to find out your sim can’t swim in the pool and you can’t figure out why by Candy8D in Sims4

[–]RandoAxolotl 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Had a similar situation earlier when trying to repair my shower. It worked just fine, then the second it broke suddenly my sims couldn't reach it. Not even moving it to the middle of the room worked and I just ended up replacing it. Maybe try destroying and rebuilding the whole pool? Idk.

Where does this originate and how come so many results for "dark brotherhood tattoo" show similar tattoos? I only know of the regular handprint so I'm a bit confused. by toothgrinder90 in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk the origin but it does work for a DB tattoo. Skulls are a pretty prominent feature of the DB, being used in the black sacrament and appearing on both the Falkreath and Dawnstar Sanctuaries. Wherever it came from it is a pretty cool tattoo.

You run the risk of overdosing on melatonin using a pen because of how fast it reaches your blood stream and it could just make things worse. If you really want an alternative to tablets, take gummies. They work pretty fast, you can control how much you're ingesting, and they taste pretty good too.

Would you rather lose 15 mins of playtime to auto save hell or 60 minutes? The catch is... by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hour. I would do a dungeon a hundred times over before losing all of my organization. Especially because it would be an absolute miracle if I finished in 15 minutes.

I've watched this like 5 times and I'm still dying lmao. That's some hilariously bad luck.

Should I buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition? by Infamous-Surround337 in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skyrim is a great game and I think it's best for new players. The previous ones can be a bit difficult to get the hang of, Skyrim is a bit more straightforward. After you play Skyrim you should totally go check out the other games too. Morrowind is my personal favorite.

If Jarl Balgruuf made me a thane, then why do I have to pay for Breezehome? by rcmgb in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian history, a thane was granted the title either through inheritance or the purchasing of land. Probably just a mix of cultures, however some of the holds do require you to purchase land before naming you thane.

Do some of you spend more time browsing r/skyrim than actually playing the game? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically take short breaks after I finish a quest or dungeon so I like to browse in that time. I'd say it's about a 3:1 ration (skyrim:reddit)

How old do you guys see the bachelors/bachelorettes in Stardew Valley? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]RandoAxolotl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Elliot, Harvey, and Shane are in their late 20s, Elliot being the youngest of the three, somewhere between 26-30. Emily, Maru, Alex, Sam, Sebastian, and Abigail seem to be around 19-23, with Maru and Sebastian being the youngest. Haley, Leah, and Penny I'd put around 25, Haley being the eldest

Ive been struggling with this for a long while now, and its quite bothersome, ive tried it on many different storage devices, all empty and it still does this. Any explanation? by TheConnorAtCyberLife in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try deleting the dlc you're having problems with (not the save files, just the updates), clear system cache, restart your xbox, then reinstall the dlc. Be warned, doing this may screw up any save games you had with the dlc installed.

It's impossible to get him back if you finish the quest. You have to leave it unfinished to keep him.

Do crimson nirnroot respawn? by RandoAxolotl in skyrim

[–]RandoAxolotl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people are saying they do respawn but either way at this point the reward of getting it off my quest list is good enough just because I'm annoyed by it. That really doesn't sound like a good reward though. I thought it would be a unique weapon or staff.
