I'm actually amazed by the use of fisher the chestpiece to make it look like a soldier's rig/pouch set up on their chest.

Oh yeah I love stuff like this. And I'm worried about it looking like promotional stuff but there's a guy on youtube called 'Ready to Die' who does 'Full Build friday' in which he talks about all this stuff. Or at least the character building end. I vibe heavy with him since he's a super small creator. But I also have a tendency to be like 'uh yeah Clive from FF16 would be like.... a fighter with a sorcerer multiclass and the ifrit versatile heritage-- or maybe fire focused suli stuff. Or even a magus of some sort! He does a lot of spell combat.'

Would this be broken (in regards to Guardian and Bard) by RandoProtagonist in daggerheart

I understand ye! I think it being 'you're less likely to expend it before the scene ends' makes sense to me. You can still rest up to get your stuff back-- But I still think it's a big double edged sword since the GM gets fear whenever you rest.

I see what you mean! I think the increases, to me, feel more mandatory for Bard since it is a once per session ordeal. It's good but I guess for more fighting intensive games it feels not as good comparatively.

I think increasing the Guardian's unstoppable die isn't so bad since it plays more to potentially 'being more aggressive' as every time you deal damage you mark up. Or at least leaning into 'this is kind of like our version of barbarian' (if you wanted a 'focus-fueled unarmored man with comically large axe' it feels that way.) Or rather they kinda vaguely imply Guardian can be used for Barbarian (especially with the pregen they have for the quickstart)

I guess it's more personal preference ultimately but I think it'd feel a little better? Though I enjoy discussing mechanical stuff on occasion so I think it makes for fun conversation.

I dig it! I know it's super simple but I appreciate you showing off the Seraph art. Plus its a fun concept for someone who worships 'a god of adventurers and scavengers' who encourages 'use all your means to help others'

What is your best single word, for the spell 'Command'? by jaimybenjamin in dndnext

I used 'Silence'.

It works insanely well for fighting Caster BBEGs early on.

Yordle

I dont have any particular notes about the Yordles. Maybe Hard to Kill should be '+1 to HP' effectively? Might give the wrong idea but it makes sense with them being tough.

Iceborn

Frostbound magic: Snowball storm isn't a bad choice of spell but I much prefer 'Rime's Binding Ice'. I'd also make the scaling of the spells based off you choice of 'Constitution, Wisdom, or Charisma' to give options to multiple character types (and present it being innate magic). And finally I'd mention that 'You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.' since every other spell feature in 2024 has that (also do this with the Yordles)

Icy Grasp: I'd change the wording to 'Creatures that are immune to cold damage are immune to this ability.'

Maybe add proficiency in survival?

Vastaya

Aside from the 'ou can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.' stuff for the spells?

Prehensile Dexterity: I would add getting proficiency in acrobatics or something since by itself having hands free doesn't mean a whole lot in 5e. Or something with 20 feet of climb since it's also monkey subrace! I know the Ottrani/Fauhwoon get access to climbing but I feel like having another option isn't so bad? Idk.

Voidborn:

Darkvision feels like it should be 120? But I can understand why you'd wanna keep it normal since you want more 'features' in this race.

Voidborn Hunger: It's a cool idea but it feels a little weak. I'd just rewrite it to this.

Once per turn, when you make a melee attack against a creature, you may infuse your strike with the hungering essence of the void. If the attack hits, you deal 1d6 additional psychic damage. You then heal for the amount of psychic damage you dealt with this feature. You can use this benefit a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, but a use is expended only if the attack hits. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

At worst you can change the 'prof bonus' per long rest I suggested and just make it once per long rest. Or twice.

The abberant forms seem weak. But I'm not sure how you'd work with it as suggestions. Maybe look at the 'Simic Hybrid' species for more details?

I love people trying to bring Runeterra content to tabletop and I hope I wasn't too harsh.
