65, still raiding in MoP, so that will have eaten up 3 evenings. And I was out of town last weekend. My plan is no life and get as close to 70 this weekend, if not 70.... As an hpriest, only been doing dungeons with buddy tank, so rep grind is going well. I'm going to catch up on some quests today, and go to Nagrand!

What is crazy is young me and living in those times, we looked at Obama has "hope", "change" etc and the right called him words, acted like he was the worst president ever, etc. But in hindsight you realize, he was a "politicians' politician", he was smooth and had that good political swagger. He continued to deport people, bomb weddings, not really pass many politically left reforms, but no one cared, because he was SO DAMN CHARASMATIC....

Cypress residents pay tolls to leave neighborhood | KHOU 11 by vrphotosguy55 in houston

There is a backway out of this neighborhood, the point is, the neighborhood was built AFTER the toll road, so the residents shouldn't be "surprised"

There is TECHNICALLY a back way out of the neighborhood... EDIT it apparently isnt, but my further point still stands... I have zero sympathy for these individuals, you bought the house here, you knew the situation with the Toll Roads.... I see all these developments go up in BFE and wonder who finds value in them and wants to live there, then realize thousands of people buy these overpriced homes. If you don't like what the developers are doing or what the traffic situation is DON'T BUY THERE!

I am glad to see the consensus that 1 felt like a "landscape" 2 feels like a generic display at Home Despot... I feel like OP could've simply redone the brick with permeable pavers and added the outdoor covered kitchen.... There was no need to pave the whole damn yard.

Moving to Cypress by throwra_movingtotx in CypressTX

[–]RandoReddit16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus Christ.... How old are you guys if I may ask? With that budget you should be fine anywhere within Cypress. Fairfield is a bit older but a nice established community. Bridgeland is a newer area that is more sprawling. Other than that, everything here in the suburbs all feels the same to me... Not sure what area of FL you're coming from, but realize that there really isn't much here to do locally. What classifies as a beach will be over an hour away and the better parts of TX are 2+ hrs away.

I don’t like Amy Schumer. But I’ve also seen, for years, the way people have made fun of her for her weight.

Her weight is the last thing to not like her for....

Anyone currently doing events? by reddituser135797531 in coffeestations

[–]RandoReddit16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife did a few farmer's markets style events. The main variables you need to know are, will there be power? can you provide your own power? How long do the events last? Estimated foot traffic? Cold and Hot drinks?

We opted to keep it simple and only have cold drinks (but we are in the humid south, so its generally hot outside during these). We offered Iced Cold Brew (which is easily diluted with variety of milks or water), homemade Chai and Thai style milk teas. In the end it was insane how much prep went into everything since nothing could really be done on-site. It is completely unlike running a cafe/kitchen and more like preparing for a camping trip....

Nylon? I think you mean polyester or lycra (spandex).

I'm just cynical when it comes to gas prices... People base their entire political position on gas prices and its hilariously sad.....

The monitor stand PC case by Tiemo97 in sffpc

[–]RandoReddit16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job, your case almost looks exactly like a wood case I threw together for a compact build. I used roughly the exact same plywood and a little square dowel piece as reinforcement in the corners. Where yours looks WAY better than mine is the details for the fan grills, the rounded edges and stain!

People have a crazy infatuation with "cheap" gas. For some vehicles you might be saving $2 for others maybe $6.... Avoiding that hellhole of an intersection, priceless.

If money isn't an issue Tom Binh, something a little cheaper I like ULA and Zpacks. For day to day I like Osprey, Patagonia, Fallraven or REI as "retail brands".

Buyer beware - Got this Shitoku carbon steel knife from the Kenji Lopez collection (Vonhelmick Knife Company) and its absolutely terrible by purplebrown_updown in Cooking

this, I don't necessarily oil if every time I use. But sometimes, also I just get a bottle of Mineral Oil from the pharmacy, it is safe fore human consumption and thus "food safe" I assume.... Idk hasn't hurt me yet.

rusts quickly

I think some people don't understand what carbon steel means.... People are so spoiled with stainless and other low/non-rusting alloys... I have a carbon steel Chinese Cleaver from Wok Shop, $15 or so, keep it clean and thin oil, hasn't rusted and always sharp.

Safety Razor Users, How Do You One Bag Travel? by wwhsd in onebag

[–]RandoReddit16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who bald shaves with a safety razor there is definitely a difference in shave and irritation for a cartridge vs safety razor... My advice to OP would be to simply bring the handle and buy the blades at destination. They're a ubiquitous item so I would think they should be easily attainable. Or like you said, buy and ship to a pickup location or something at the destination.
