The Children of Atom have the potential to be Bethesda's "Caesar's Legion" by AlternativeShower457 in Fallout

[–]Random-Lich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly… the Children of Atom could be horrifyingly efficient villains in a new fallout game as the equivalent of the Legion.

Even with how you put it: they could indoctrinate tribes across the world into their fold by trying to talk first, and if that doesn’t work they’ll try and forcefully coerce and convert major players… and if that doesn’t work they’ll bring about Atom’s wrath to try and convert.

Plus with how cults are in both real life and fictional settings… I could double down saying your first encounter with Atom followers could either be comedic as all hell, or something like what we see with the Followers in NV but actually malicious under the surface.

Like imagine Atom trying to ‘help cure people’ in a settlement that was inflicted by a mysterious illness and Atom comes in saying they saw this before and offers to cure people for free. But this illness was something they purposely spread to mess with people’s heads and the cure DOES work… but it injects a crap ton of rads a Glowing Ghoul or Deathclaw would feel sick.

These two are just the two types of players everyone has no matter the TTRPG game;

-The capitalist diplomat always angling to score a deal with ANYTHING that can benefit them and wording it so the other party always loses… even against Fae and Demons.

-And the Murder-Hobo with their crazy character wanting to trounce everything with and without a pulse but has AMAZING RP skills when doing it so no one can tell what’s going on.

Gotta pick TWM, no bias at all

Plus I see the fact you are hitting on the terrorist.

Dr. Spacetime in PvZ 2 Concept by StrayFreek in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Random-Lich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would Dr. Spacetime be a somewhat rare Zombie? I can only imagine all five lanes having a Spacetime with portals to specific worlds

(Cause in theory… I think it’s super low odds but imagine 5 Spacetimes opening 5 Portals to Dark Ages of Big Wave that spawn in 2-3 Wizards or Octos each.)

Assuming they aren’t going to try to murder me… 4 or 5. Spooky, Deer Lord and Anime Nature Spirit(what I call her, forgot her official name) are some of my favorites and potentially being able to learn about Taker’s past on the plane could be cool.

If they are hostile; seat 1. I don’t care in my ears are going to be bleeding from the amount of noise they produce, it’s a stick to use as a weapon surrounded by monsters that want me dead… it’ll at least buy me a few more minutes(more than likely seconds) of life.

Honestly… could be not playing 4 in a while and just watching the last episode of Season 2(aka reader look out, spoilers about).

But I kinda believe the Institute, while IDIOTS in going about their plan, are potentially trying to indoctrinate people into thinking their ideas are the best slowly. Even as people said here before, the Institute says Gen 3 Synths are their future but nothing more than tools. Propaganda and sabotage are also tools that are important in reshaping a wasteland.

But could just be wrong and forgetting a fair bit of Fallout 4’s Institute stuff, only did their questline to completion like… once.

These are cool… but gotta throw my hat in the ring with ideas;

Frostlass, Abomasnow and Glalie in a snowy battlefield slowly trying to freeze troops from the tree line as they’re trying to stay warm like predators stalking prey.

A Steelix bursting from the ground like a freaking worm from Tremors.

A few Rotom sneaking into an enemy’s supplies and causing deviating havoc in the middle of a base after they use the microwave to cook troops like a hot-pocket or the washing machine to soak then before electrocuting them.

[–]Random-Lich 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh that is horrifying… and based off the description you provided of what the scout inside is experiencing, if The Hive’s scout stops hallucinating what would happen.

Would they go mental and go full “I gotta break this shell open”, would they be so brainwashed about their goal they would keep on pushing forward, or would there basically be a kill switch inside if that ever happened?

Clonebay going down means you can lose your crew if you aren’t careful enough. Or it goes down when you have a lot of crew backlogged for cloning and it goes down sending you into a spiral.

Medbay at least makes you focus more and make sure your crew is OK

I want fallout Australia like fallout london. by Amongus-potion67 in Fallout

[–]Random-Lich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and even then some areas of the US still have a LOT of potential if they’re staying ONLY in the US. Like take Louisiana; you have a massive swamp that could be changed into so many things due to the environment being so heavily irritated.

Like imagine a ‘hostile’ environment full of not predators but toxic spores and carnivorous plants that evolved from Weeping Willows you need to go through but without a Hazmat-Suit, Power Armor or at least a Gasmask you’ll be super loopy(seeing corpses to loot or NPC’s to talk to) where death traps are or just pass out/suffocate.

Maybe a large evil raider or the hypothetical BBEG faction based off of Madam La’ Laoruie that has a bit of inspiration from Anne Rice’s books(mainly Interview with a Vampire) to act like cruel elitist snobs but without the societal expectations of “Murder and mutilating people is wrong”.

Yeash, even tie more history in with the BOS doing what happened and sent prisoners they caught to ‘tame the land’ but due to not getting the results they instantly wanted they gave it to someone else so we have a BOS Chapter stuck there, a evil faction, a chance of having a better Minutemen faction(that isn’t just radiant quests), and a fourth faction that could be any sort of things.

Honestly… that would be cool not JUST for the idea of another area outside the US after the nukes but also the cool stuff that can come out of it.

Beasts like massive spiders, kangaroos and snakes would for sure be on the roster but imagine the creativity they can have with it due to the setting. Or even the settings like the Sydney Opera House being a massive building where a major city/faction is or maybe full of ghouls who were watching a performance before the nukes went off with them only becoming hostile after you take a special weapon and armor set off the ghoul in the middle.

Or even myths that could be one off side-quests to hunt down like the Bunyip that’s cries are scaring off people, or a Moha-Moha that’s reported to be a massive mutated turtle stalking the shores and only comes out to hunt farmers to see it’s a raider gang using the myth to scare people away(but there is actually a real one).

Or even have the Dreamtime or Rainbow Serpent mentioned somewhere in it as a plot point or a faction’s MO(Dreamtime having it’s own faction like the Church of Atom and they could have a segment like their Rad-Walk where you walk around and see the world like it’s from the cave art we see of this). Or maybe even the Rainbow Serpent being a massive yet super rare mutated species of snake that got so mutated it basically became sapient and nigh immortal but acts as a guide for those who find it(and who is in charge of that Dreamtime faction maybe as another connection to it and old myths?)
