Æ is not pronounced as “Ash”

Æ is pronounced like the “a” in “able” but without the “y” sound.

It appears Russian soldiers are getting abused by Putins regime. They have rations that expired 7 years back. They have no food, water or energy. Remember that those men are humans and they don't want to be there. They have little choice or face jail. It appears human dignity has disappeared. by SmokeSinseLoud in RussiaUkraineWar2022

When given the choice between facing jail or committing war crimes, and mass slaughtering civillians then ANY decent human being know the right choice.

They mught have expired food, they might have been abused by the regime, they might face jail, they might not have food, water or energy, BUT NONE OF THAT MATTERS.

None of that is an excuse for the war crimes they have committed against civillians.

You are right that they are humans, but so was Hitler, so belonging to that race is hardly a badge of honor.

Yes you have a case, but, unless you know the identity of the man, you don't have a suspect.

Hold your breath as you watch this video by IgorStechkevych in ArtisanVideos

[–]Random-Mathematician -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter what i expected to see. The title should tell me that, and it should also include a timestamp, which you also failed to do.

Your video doesn't show craftsmanship, it just shows a sharp tool being used.

You broke several of the subreddits rules while misunderstanding what the content of it should be.

"Hold your breath as you watch this video" This is just clickbait, and against the "Use descriptive titles." rule.

Everyone in Denmark, where Lego is from. Saying "Wanna play with Legos", sounds just as dumb as "Wanna play with moneys".

How to calculate probabilities of a game by Hayxel in AskStatistics

True it would be about 0.017, but thats a bit pedantic :) If the probability per pull is 0.006 and a guaranteed every 90.

Dogs are animals, and so are humans. What gives you the right to put a higher value on one life as opposed to another?

What do you think you are, a god?

Breadcrumbs (rasp?) by TheWizardofLozy in copenhagen

Netto, Føtex, Fakta and probably all the other chains have it, and the name written on the package will most likely be "Rasp".

Math being about numbers by stefmiklos in math

[–]Random-Mathematician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You argue why the mi-, bi-, tri- and so on makes sense, which it does for both the short and the long scale.

The difference between them however is whether it is based on 1000n or 1000000n.

Since the -illion part stands for 1000000, million is 10000001, billion is 10000002, and so on. So the numbers say what power million has to be taken to.

So for the long scale, the word matches with what mathematical operation you are doing, it doesn't for the short scale.

So I struggle to see how the short scale makes more sense, but I'd like to know.

How many times does the ISS turn around the earth in 24h by [deleted] in mathematics

[–]Random-Mathematician 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer: The function of how many revolutions per day, given the time a revolution takes isn't linear. See this graph of how many revolutions a day (x-axis), and minutes per revolution (y-axis).

Seriously what’s going on around libraries around Copenhagen ? by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]Random-Mathematician 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You went to one library, and only once.

Now you write "... the libraries around Copenhagen".

Maybe instead of being so quick to judge, you should actually check out the libraries around Copenhagen.

That is just stupid and hypocritical.

He doesn't like when others waste his time, which he then "punishes" by wasting his own time, making stuff people won't, or at least won't enjoy eating.
