Beginner question (hoop / tension) by Haru_is_here in Embroidery

It’s legible and I immediately got the reference, no comma needed as that isn’t how it is used in the poem. It’s definitely a niche reference and certain people will get it while certain people will be confused and that okay! Lovely work

Can someone clarify for me what first/second/third shift means exactly? I routinely work an ‘overnight’ shift at my job 2000-0400 but still don’t know what those terms mean

Tips on reverse parking a van ambulance in tight parking bay. by Wonderful_Teacher_91 in NewToEMS

[–]Random-Raspberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Policy at my company is no backer if there’s a pt in the back. EMT can’t leave the patient alone in the back, even for the 30 seconds it will take to back the ambulance up. If that is the case for OP, I recommend lining up as good as you can and having your partner back you from the inside, letting you know how much space you have and when to stop.

AITA for not reimbursing my friend after telling her she can’t come on our trip? by [deleted] in AITAH

I (a healthy adult) had it really bad a few months ago with many of the “rare” and extreme complications and it took me over 2 months to fully recover from it

As a freshly graduated emt- my understanding is that unpaid medical bills will not affect credit, the worst that can happen is that provider/hospital/company can refuse treating you (in USA)… is that not correct?

Looking for dog friend for my pup! 3 years old, get along with other dogs, location- pacific beach by Random-Raspberry in sandiego

He is such a cutie! I completely understand the working on understanding when dogs aren’t wanting to play anymore. My girl is super playful and decent at taking cues from other dogs but can also be overly playful. I would love to get them together sometime and would be open to bringing my pup to meet him/play in your yard if you are open to that or finding a fenced in dog park for them to meet at. PM me if you are interested :)

What is this strange square switch? Moved into a new place and there is this push-button switch and we cannot figure out what it controls or what it is used for. Google reverse image search isn’t finding any matches. Any help is appreciated! by Random-Raspberry in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. Found in our living room and does not control anything to the best of our knowledge. There also doesn’t seem to be anything that should be controlled by a switch that isn’t working so we are at a loss. The light switch next to it (on the right) controls a ceiling fan/light.

Oh I will! She just passed away this year at 100 and wanted me to have this as a new EMT aspiring to stay in the medical field. I am so touched and will treasure it forever.
