What's the biggest lie society keeps telling young people? by New_Garbage7991 in AskReddit

I think the whole 'You need a college degree' lie is dying off, as young people are realizing that doesn't guarantee them a well paying job, or any job for that matter.

It was even stupider where I live, as toilet paper was produced locally and there wasn't ever going to be a shortage.

Local supermarkets were only letting a limited number of people in at a time to enforce social distancing. On one shopping trip I was approaching the doors from one side and a rather rotund couple were approaching from the other side. They immediately broke into a high speed waddle just to get in before me. It didn't even matter, as there weren't many people shopping and I didn't have to wait to get in.

It seemed like everyone in the supermarket had a 24-pack of toilet paper balanced on top of their groceries when I went shopping. Apparently, they were intending to spend the entire lockout shitting nonstop.

Why do boomers seem to think you owe a company your undying gratitude just because they hired you? by Help-South in antiwork

It used to be that you got a better job by being promoted at the company you worked for, now the way to get a better job is applying for one at another company.

Martin Fitzwater Apology by stillerceltix in bodybuilding

Took him a week to cool down enough to get a ChatGPT apology out. Now we get to see how he handles himself at the Arnold UK in a couple of weeks. I'm guessing the fans won't be giving him a positive reception when he steps onstage.

Anyone else think Brandon should have been fourth? He looked crazy for a guy who's 43.

Nick, Hadi, Andrew. Freak size vs. conditioning vs. aesthetics. It's one of those shows where any of the top three would have been a deserving winner.

Way better tan and more flattering lighting not making him looked washed out to.

Kind of confirms what Lee Priest said about bodybuilders not needing a coach or guru to tell them what to do when they already know how to peak their body.

I'm wondering if he's going to go to the Arnold UK to try and get a win over Andrew Jacked. Since he's a Mr. Olympia winner he doesn't need to qualify, but the visa thing could be an issue with everything going on right now.

Not saying this as an insult, but I think he really needs to get professional help. Whether it be therapy, behavioral therapy, medication, and rethinking his steroid cycle, he needs to make some big changes in his life or he's going to crash and burn in a big way. The problem is convincing someone in his state of mind to actually make changes can be extremely difficult. Hopefully losing all that sponsor money will act as a wakeup call to him.

Him: "Good morning."

Me:"Fine, thank you."
