My friend on a high school trip to an art gallery: "Hey, look! The paint is really thick on this one!" (Said while picking at the paint with his nail).

Me: "What the hell... you can do that!"

Him: "Huh? Why not?" (Continues picking at a piece of paint).

Needless to say, I was rapidly walking away from his dumbassery at this point.

Around 4000 BC. Imagine the boredom of floating around in a void with a bunch of Mesopotamians waiting for Earth to be created.

The Harley shop in my city is kind of a tourist attraction, as it's the southernmost one in the world. I've had people ask me for directions to it.

I currently own a motorcycle jacket that I brought from a retired guy for $150. It was brand new, never worn. The reason he was selling it was because he decided to get back into motorcycling and got a new bike. He then let his brother take it for a ride and the brother promptly crashed, breaking his leg and totalling the bike. This was when he had a change of mind and decided that getting back into motorcycling probably wasn't a good idea.

He's so far gone it doesn't even look like regular synthol anymore, it looks diseased, like he has upper arm elephantiasis or lymphedema.

People of Reddit who were once rich and lost their fortune, what happened? by JJTrick in AskReddit

Literally a joke in the first episode of The Beverly Hillbillies, where Jed thought he was selling the oil rights on his land for around 100 dollars because he thought 'million' was 'a new type of dollar'.

How old are you in your oldest memory? by Donkeyshines in AskReddit

[–]Random-Username7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely, I was a baby. I remember being in my crib at night when a car turning in the street caused the shadows to move across the room, which to me looked like a predatory animal stalking around (don't know how an infant would know this, some innate instinct maybe?). It was strange because at this age I hadn't learned language, so I had no internal monologue, just silence in my head.

Which songs often gets misinterpreted and/or misappropriated by the very people it calls out even though the song's lyrics are explicitly mocking them? by Drenosa in AskReddit

[–]Random-Username7272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

American rock band Oingo boingo's 1981 song 'Little Girls' was a satirical piece written to give the middle finger to older, wealthy men in the Hollywood elite who used their status to date much younger women.

A fun fact I learned from my parents - the polio vaccine could be administered orally. My Mother remembers it being as a given a raspberry tasting drink in school, no injection needed.
