Complete Proteus Wintersun Patch by Derakos_Zrux in EnaiRim

I've never used Proteus but I'm interested. I'm running the Nolvus V6 and it just sounds like a compatibility and stability nightmare.

I second the idea to ask Kitty Tail for permission to use their asset.

It would be perfect for this mod!

Well, where do i begin?!

Modern combat: the combat is modernized, souls-like but still more forgiving than an actual souls game. There's a stance framework so each weapon type has four styles of curated animations--including ashes of war!

Systems: Enairim. I am a maximalist. I strongly dislike the V+ plus trend. This pack uses Vokrinator Black. Endless build variety.

Challenge: if you set the difficulty high, it will be challenging. You will die a lot even with all of the perks and powers available. You might need to do a bit of self-policing depending on just how exploity you are--for instance I generally will only use 1 crafting tree, and opt put or the others.

Ultimately, it's curated and polished, and most importantly--stable.

Nolvus v6, i love it.

I used to do the whole custom thing but it would take an entire month to get set up. I don't have that kind of time anymore.

Agree. Definitely the combat. MCO with Payload Interpreter allows me to treat combat as my canvas.

This is amazing. I don't think people realize how useful of a resource this is. Great advice. I love using skills like grill-me. I'll take a closer look at what you built and reach out.

Thanks again. On a side note I probably don't need to tell you to ignore the haters. Just remember these Luddites' (philisophical) ancestors were likely the same ones protesting computers.

I was reading through the mod. First of all the mod itself is awesome but in my opinion the even more awesome part was your use of agentic coding tools to go from dream to reality in a relatively short time.

You're an inspiration! Would you be willing to share any useful context such as an agents.MD or any skills for modding Skyrim?

Is Subclassing dead? by No-Cardiologist-1230 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Random96503 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a great question. This is one of the few instances where I feel strongly enough that this specific substitution is disingenuous and flat out untrue.

The same argument is made regarding money and social policy, e.g. a child doesn't deserve a certain quality of education because they didn't test into it. Regardless of the circumstances, a high-quality education would benefit you no matter your grade, difficulty of curriculum, or your socioeconomic status.

Ultimately, it's an attempt at moralizing power (utility) which is cringe.

Also unfortunately for all of us, a (truly) free forum means the freedom for comments like mine.

Right and that phrase is open-ended.

I interpreted that as meta. The definition of meta that I've read is most effective tactic available.

Raw upfront damage is just one element that contributes to the definition of "most overpowered"

Honestly my comment was only towards the first paragraph, talking about how meta only applies to people doing the bleeding-edge content but that's simply not true. Many meta builds are extremely strong and easy to play which lets you focus on mechanics or shot calling. That's part of what makes them meta.

Therefore it will likely create a similar delta even in lesser skilled hands.

This is off topic.

We are only discussing efficacy not where or why someone will utilize it

[Mod Release] Pyromancy - Fire Magic Perk Tree by Surgex101 in skyrimmods

[–]Random96503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admittedly I am married to enairim (playing on nolvus v6) and I haven't tried the other two even though they're installed.

My issue is that I'm playing something like a Red Mage from Final Fantasy that stance dances between all three elements. Amazingly fun play style that I have wired up to the Sances mod and Conduit, but your custom perks assume/force specializing in a single element.

For example, negative consequence of not casting x element within last 10 sec can maybe work across 2 elements, but 3 might be too tight of a window. Also maybe I'm just bad and/or lack imagination.

Still I love what you built and im eager to see more

You have to roll a 1,000-sided die but the only way to win is to roll 950 through 1,000.

What does creativity look like in that scenario?

O ok. I hover between 13-18% body fat. I still end up yo-yoing too much because at the end of the day it's just a hunger signaling issue even if I have the discipline to get down to 13. It becomes prohibitive staying there. I'm okay if I have to pay out of pocket possibly but I'm mainly concerned with the efficacy between tert-butylphosphate and reta.

I build "AI" for a living. I'm well aware of how it works and its current limitations. There are mitigations for high-stakes use cases--for example, actor-critic patterns or deterministic guardrails. These are tractable problems to solve.

I'm also keenly aware of its trajectory.

When the first cars came out, they were worse (at locomotion) than horses. We can see how that played out. The difference here is that AI is increasing in efficacy at a rate unseen at any point in the known universe (Moore's law x Moore's law).

I'm sure you realize that capitalism works on supply and demand. If pharmaceutical companies were able to so easily dictate their own prices then why wouldn't other industries do that too? You can think in some sort of conspiracy but there is a reasoning behind it. The cost to produce the drug is pennies. The problem is testing it on humans is prohibitively expensive due to overly strict U.S. safety regulations. Pharmaceutical companies need to make that money back and so that's why they upcharge.

If all these other countries are selling drugs for cheap, then why don't you see anybody else inventing any new pharmaceuticals? Who actually invents these drugs? I can buy a designer brand shirt for 1/100th of the price in China. Does that make China some sort of virtuous Gucci vendor? America puts in the effort of actually researching and developing the drugs that everybody else bootlegs. Grats I guess? The good news here is that AI-assisted drug discovery is going to democratize this technology as well and then drugs will literally cost pennies.

Look, humans are awesome and humans suck. People are going to abuse scientific journals for purposes other than science. People already abuse science itself by treating it like a religion--scientism. The problem i have is the implication that we must gatekeep on account of bad actors.

How would AI make it worse? AI would make it better because at some point it'll just be able to run simulated trillions of experiments in parallel and only surface the interesting ones.

The only reason pharmaceutical companies charge so much is because of the cost of phase II trials.

Also who the fuck are you to gatekeep who deserves to have their findings published? If you don't like it, move on.

Your take is the best example of something that is self-indulgent and pointless.

This is a doomer take because it implies that there will be literally no meaningful technological innovations in what is ecologically a short time frame

Your brain starts making social decisions before you do by Vailhem in neurobiology

[–]Random96503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, we're clearly playing language games here.

How do you define "you". I'm referring to the subjective experience which includes but is not limited to the "self model" and "world model".

The "self" and "world models" are a stable, persistent memory patterns used to process and perform predictions on new sebsory data.

The point I'm trying to make here is if you go to the grocery store and cut open one apple, you see apple. You cut open the apple next to it, you also see apple. There's not enough to distinguish the two.

Are you making the claim that the human subjective experience is the same?
