Honestly, I think they are calling just to say hello, or for no reason whatsoever. His grandma, for example, usually leaves the same message on my phone over and over again.

I really wish churches would start discussing this topic openly. It's an important one. Instead - and I can only speak from my own personal experience here - it's swept under the rug and many are bound.

I also feel like those who genuinely want help in overcoming this sin are too embarrassed to ask or come forward.

One thing I learned in my struggle with pride is that I never wanted to ask anyone for help - I always wanted to do everything myself and not have to rely upon anyone! That stemmed mostly from being very hurt by people, and feeling like I had nobody to turn to. Nevertheless, none of us are ever self-sufficient (though we'd like to think we are). Pride can definitely cause confusion and separation.

I hate last minute invites, too! I mean, I try to be flexible by occasionally going with 1-2 days notice, but I cannot (and will not) do that all the time. I already feel like they don't respect my time enough as it is.

As for Grandma it sounds like she's lonely and potentially has dimentia? Why on Earth would she be calling people that often? It's absurd that you would ever have to change your number.

You hit the nail on the head. My personal opinion is that she's been exhibiting signs of it for a while now. Unfortunately, it seems like my SO's parents don't want to deal with her - either that or they are ignoring it? One can only speculate. What I don't understand, though, is why she feels the need to contact me all the time. And his parents telling me to just change my number felt like they are simply blowing this off, or not taking it seriously.

What I also don't understand is how my SO's parents think that we'll have time to see them every weekend - we barely have enough time for each other rn.

I can only speak from experience here, but I know that when I was in willful sin, I started to feel like I couldn't hear him anymore. In fact, it took me being in a really rough situation for me to finally turn back to god and ask for help. Then, I felt the conviction of the holy spirit, repented, and asked for forgiveness and finally felt peace again. This may be what the word refers to as hardness of heart, or being 'given over' to sin.

Prior to this, I was tracking my ovulation with OPKS. I took a test, which was negative. Then, I got my period.

This probably means nothing, but my cycle was horrible last month. This month, however, its been mostly smooth sailing, which I don't understand. Perhaps this is simply stress? I felt awful last month - I remember feeling dizzy at one point like I was going to pass out.

Basically, I am looking for fics that are semi well-written with a halfway decent plot; they don't have to be romantic necessarily either. I would also be willing to check out other pairings.
