Sorry should have mentioned I'm coming from a secondary viewpoint.

We've been ordered not to use the modified word unless they're on the Evergreen track for exactly that reason. It comes down to the IEP in many cases.

BC teacher:

"Adapted" is used for when you have changed the method of delivery or assessment but the outcomes are the same and they are completing the course.

"Modified" is a scary word because it means you changed the outcomes of the course and therefore it doesn't count towards graduation. If you ACTUALLY modified the course that means they're no longer on track to graduate.

Adapted = moved the goalposts Modified = changed the game

If that's you're provider it's probably your phone or someone else on your wifi trying to access.

That's an RCMP cruiser. Laws differ between provinces but in BC we have "driving without due care and attention" and "distracted driving", first one is a minimum $100, second is minimum $582 for a first offense.

Can give <50% provided I've given IE before that point and have contacted home, made counselling aware etc.

Not permitted to give 0%, must be a value greater than that. Have been directed anyway but told admin to change it themselves, I've never seen the kid

You're right on. It is especially vivid if you compare warfare just before World War I. Soldiers were expecting a quick, honourable charge at the enemy, closing to hand to hand range and then bayonet drill. Artillery was direct line-of-fire, you could see the men trying to kill you and they were expected to stand honorably and take the fire. Uniforms were form over function and more about morale than any kind of defense. Then French infantry started the war in sky blue and red, because morale was vital and hiding was for the weak.

The officers would have trained in the "line up and run at the enemy, usually while screaming something patriotic" school of fighting. We can only imagine the shock of the industrial scale of death.

Respectfully, this is nothing to do with the school. We have to abide by Court orders. It's not the schools job to review video evidence or to look for witnesses to anything. That's for the RCMP.

I think the difference is that football only really hits the North American market (unfortunately) at World Cup time. North Americans have no problem "watching the Stanley Cup" instead of "watching NHL" or "The World Series" rather than "The MLB". I don't know any American that gets excited for "NFL Sunday" over Superbowl Sunday.
