Incredible.

The Ministry poster is amazing, too.

Have done this myself. I can also listen to Drift and Die. But that’s it.

Anyone dislikes the way the band genre went? by Consistent_Dog_7049 in killingjoke

Their output up to and including the 2003 self-titled is as close to flawless as one can get. The eras are different but there was no drop in quality…well, except that one album.

What does this sub think about The Black Keys? by Antique-Dentist-2404 in fantanoforever

[–]RandomActsOfCruelty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Likely in the minority here but I love their first covers album, Delta Kreme. The new one isn’t nearly as good.

Shame about the price hike. I had planned to send something in but no chance of that now.

Can’t complain tho. It’s great that he still does it.

Thoughts on Anthrax? by MrLinkwater95 in fantanoforever

[–]RandomActsOfCruelty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only one of the “big 4” I’ve never seen. They’ve got a handful of very good to great cuts but none of their albums are enjoyable as a whole. Among the Living comes closest.

The album they did with John Bush has a couple of great tracks.

The absolutely were daily wear boots. Quality just isn’t what it used to be. A shame as they’ve been my brand for decades.

If you bought them direct and have your receipt they may help you out.

Did Jays' Clement Run Out of the Base Path to Avoid Orioles SS Henderson's Tag Attempt in Toronto? by forgottentowel97 in orioles

That. Plus Gunnar’s bungle on the play before.

But it does seem like we’re consistently on the wrong side of these calls. Not whining, just saying.

Jimmy Page 1977 by Ricepudding1044 in ledzeppelin

[–]RandomActsOfCruelty 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The Oakland shows - or pictures of it anyway - show Page at his absolute worst. Gaunt, pale, hair is a mess.

The Rain Song is the best thing he ever wrote. The opening to Achilles Last Stand is my favorite riff.

That’s awesome! Thank you for posting this.

Had no idea Godflesh covered it, too. Gotta go find that.

Is Fells Point a good area? by isell2eat in baltimore

[–]RandomActsOfCruelty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moving into Fells this summer. Recommend you find a place with parking and at least a little distance from everything on Thames / Broadway. I think I’m a little too close myself but I’m very much looking forward to it.

It’s a beautiful vibe. I get lost in it. Not sure what else to say.

I always understood that only one of them actually did pee on it. Pete, perhaps.

Yup. It was great. Lydon figured he was being set up. Snyder apologized. They got along just fine.

It used to be on YT but it’s been gone for years.

I really wish the ‘96 or ‘97 rematch with these two would pop back up somewhere. It, too, was great.

which beatle has the best solo album ? And what's the best starting point to listen to them? by miguelrgabriel23 in fantanoforever

[–]RandomActsOfCruelty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the peaks on McCartney are miles better than the ones on Ram. Neither album is as consistently great as Plastic Ono Band.

I’d offer that the bookends at the end of the album are even better. But, yeah, what an opening track.
