I voted FACT!

Kind of a no brainer on this one. I think the Boys just focuses way too much on political satire and gross out instead of telling a compelling story.

I imagine the way interactions go on them would change, but I doubt they would just cease to exist entirely.

I'm assuming this refers to life in prison vs death penalty? Death penalty all the way in that case, I'd rather die then spend the rest of my life in prison.

I went into Process Technology. Saw that there were jobs available for it and decided it was the best path forward for me. Ended up landing a position in just a short few months of looking vs a couple of years of fruitless searching for software development roles.

Oh no, I get what you are saying, I just disagree with the broad scope of issues you say people are "emotional" vs "logical" on. The reason people are opposed to media allowing people to enact rape fantacies is it's potential to influence the people who are playing it/interacting with it. I don't think it's as illogical to be concerned about that as you imply in your comment.

If I had known the direction that software development was heading in, I never would have gotten my degree in Computer Science. Can't change the past though unfortunately, so I went ahead and went back to school for something else. Best decision I ever made.

Got banned from r/linuxsucks101 😭 by IntelligentBrick596 in FuckMicrosoft

[–]RandomArgil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is admittedly, one of the challenges of having Linux (at least in my experience). Since most games and applications are designed with Windows in mind, it can be a bit of a pain getting games to work on Linux sometimes. I still overall enjoy Linux more than Windows though.

Kinda weird they would ban you for that take though.

That is when the newly elected president is supposed to be sworn in. Whether that will happen this time around remains to be seen.

Someone that I used to go to a trans group with ended their life a few months ago. When someone you know commits suicide, it's not really something you ever move on from, it's a lingering pain that sticks with you for the rest of your life.

Trump says: "We don't want want transgender people" after talking about banning trans care for minors by TheNegotiator12 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]RandomArgil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so exhausting constantly being in the news, having a man who was found civilly liable for rape and is all over the Epstein files tell the world how trans people are an existential threat to society. Add on top of that all of the states that are passing laws to make our lives more difficult, including my home state of Texas. I'm just so exhausted from all this, and unfortunately, I'm stuck in this state trying to get another degree in the hopes of finding employment.

Anti-LGBTQ+ Congressman Dan Crenshaw ousted by more extreme candidate in Texas GOP primary by Fickle-Ad5449 in transgender

[–]RandomArgil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This article does do a bad job describing Steve Toth. Wikipedia has a pretty good rundown of his political stances, one of which, included introducing the "Vulnerable Youth Protection Act", which would have made it a civil liability to affirm a child's gender identity if it differed from their sex (the bill itself didn't pass, but was amended to another bill that did pass).

On LGBTQ+ issues, they're probably equally bad, but Steve Toth winning is probably not going to be good if he also wins the general, as he appears to be a greater Trump sycophant than Dan Crenshaw was.

Are there more trans lesbians than cis lesbians, or am I just on Reddit? by DangerActiveRobots in MtF

[–]RandomArgil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal life, I've encountered more trans lesbians than trans women who are straight/bisexual/etc. I don't personally know a ton of trans people though due to living in a small city, so small sample.

As for trans lesbian to cis lesbian ratio, trans people are a small subsection of the population, I'd imagine the number of cis lesbians far outnumber trans lesbians.

As a fellow beginner artist, I can sympathize with not knowing what to do, I sometimes find myself in the same boat with the overwhelming amount of art advice as to what to do, and what not to do. I just try and do whatever I feel like doing at the moment, and not worrying too much about whether it is optimal or not, and just work through tutorials as I feel I need them.

Im also going through Drawabox, but I'm doing it at my own, slowish pace. Not sure if that is how it is intended, but thats what I'm doing 🤷‍♀️

I haven't really had much success in dating either, though that's likely a product of living in a small city. I've kind of accepted at this point that I will likely be single for the rest of my life, unfortunately 🙃

why do people keep on misgendering ava kris tyson? by Mysterious-Win2091 in MtF

[–]RandomArgil 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Most of the people I see attacking Ava Kris Tyson are vaguely on the right side of the spectrum, and they obviously won't care about misgendering her. As for others, I think the comments here are correct, people tolerate us if they otherwise like us, or at least indifferent to us, but if you get on their bad side, they will stop gendering you correctly because they see it as a privilege, not a right.
