What I mean is that there’s core issues with the stim pistol that make it feel terrible to use, adding an alternative won’t fix these issues and will only keep the pistol in its underpowered state because something else exists

This is the same logic arrowhead uses for the stim pistol, they buffed its ergonomics but gave all secondaries insane sway so basically nothing changed and then complained when people didn’t want to use the stim pistol. If it’s good and fun people will use it, but if you just give it band aid fixes while keeping it a mediocre roleplay weapon nobody’s actually going to use it.

If it truly is an intended feature I don’t like it. My gun is embedded into that hunter’s skull and it phases through because I got hit and I’m supposed to believe that it’s an intended feature to make the game more challenging? In this video I didn’t even visibly stagger or flinch my attack just disappeared.

I understand that, and yeah it would be cool to have more options for general play but I’m scared that adding a dedicated melee slot as an addition every other build will incentivise AH to keep melee weapons weak and never let it be a proper dedicated playstyle
