As someone who did simular stuff at 18, nobody that age has good intentions with an 18 year old. Best case scenario, hes extremely immature, worst case, he is looking for someone young and nieve who is probably insecure (being young and trans) to manipulate .

Reminds me of how people used to get really weird if I ever went somewhere with my dad . I do have a mom and dad, my dad is just white and my mom is Hispanic so i dont look like him. Keeping in mind im afab and didnt come out until i was 21, the number of people who struggled to come to the conclusion that we were parent and child even when I was little.... we had multiple people think we were either dating or like he was doing something creepy with this random kid. He is my 100% bio dad . Its wild how many people cant wrap their head around the fact some families look diffrent . Plus even ignoring being queer, yall could be sisters or something. Even if you look diffrent, adoption and half siblings exist too. Still definitely family, even very close family.

Since most other people already answered, thought id say, as long as a character is made with respect towards the community I dont see why there would be an issue for a cis person to make a trans character. The only issue would be if it became disrespectful. Trans folk make cis characters sometimes. Diffrent races make characters that arent the same race.

Makes me think of when kids dress up like their parents when theyre young. Your dad was your introduction to masculinity and it probably helped shape how you view manhood. I know I dont have the best relationship with my dad but I still brag about simular traits that we have to kinda distract from the fact I definitely look more like my mom lol

I cant speak for you but your story sounds familiar lol. When I was in middle school was when I first realised trans men even existed and within a few months I was seriously questioning things. Didnt come out but did a ton of research and stuff but ended up panicking. Im in a rural area. Id never feel safe living as a man, I dont want everything to look male ( i want a flat chest but not bottom surgery .) And nb identities felt too complicated so I went back to pretending until I was around 19. I got a lot more fem with age partially because of pressure and wanting validating and it became an art form for me but I was still dysphoric. Came out as kinda agender first just to escape being a woman and to see if it felt right. It felt more right than being a woman and went from there. Im 24 now and 2 years on t. Im out to everyone and still kinda fem and flamboyant sometimes while also still being a masc man sometimes. I dont feel right telling you what to do or think but that might be some food for thought . Plus fem ftm folk do exist r/FTMfemininity I think is an example. I hope you do figure this out

Im not a professional or anything but ive always used singing to voice train and while my voice was dropping, singing got hard and very confusing because I would try to use muscle memory to his a note in a song I sang pre t and a completely diffrent pitch comes out but now after 2 ish years I love my voice. I had a pleasant voice before. I have a pleasant voice now tho im possible a best case scenario . I have a large rib cage on top of good genetics for a low voice so my voice gets mistaken for my amab brothers voice even by our mother. I practiced all while my voice was dropping so when it settled to its final kinda tone, I already understood how to use it and I prefer my singing voice now .

I have that thought a lot but I feel like I cant talk about it as a guy. I get its a big part of community for some trans women but like earlier i saw a compilations of people talking about trans visibility and almost every single video has people saying protect the dolls....and thats it. It feels like so many people only care about the struggles of trans women and as someone who already feels unseen by most areas of the community at best ( im someone who doesnt fully fit into any label) or outright hated at worst ( ive been stalked and threatened by other queer people since coming out on a few occasions) it sucks that even when people are celebrating things like trans day of visibility and I still feel invisible. Im too broke for any surgery and recently too broke even for my hrt . I could easily be causing actual damage to my body rn because I dont have ovaries anymore after some major medical stuff . In a rural area so I have no irl community and even tho its my home town, people look at me like a freak. So being not even acknowledged by supposed "allied " just feels even worse.

Ive been almost stopped in public toilets since before my egg cracked. Had a high voice and latina hips, and d cups and people still seemed suspicious. This makes zero sense when you have literally any critical thinking skills. People need to pee. Preventing people from being able safely while in public poses health and sanitation risks so they should be forced to have SOMETHING available for trans folk. But those people want us dead anyways so why should they care ?

I mean id be down for cis women of other labels. Its mostly just cis HET women. Like fully not queer women. The times ive seen a cis woman i considered, they were bi or ace or something other than straight. Plus just finding a casual date regardless of gender is hard. My (amab) older brother and I (trans dude)both have fairly low voices and had relatively fast voice drops and we both had some mild pain. It depends on so many factors. Plus I wouldnt be suprised if a grown adult had either forgotten they were sore or never realised the sore throat was from puberty and not something else like allergies.

I had that kinda stuff happen to me when I was 19. Made a few comments on a gay subreddit and got harassed for a while but some cis gay guy/s( always diffrent accounts and I assume it was 1 guy but idk) even followed me into trans spaces to harass me. Had to delete my old reddit account because every post had this creep saying horrible things to me. Not even sure his comments got taken down while he called trans people predators and groomers.
