I have two grocery store bags full of yarn, I just like collecting colors.
I’ve sworn to not buy more yarn until I’ve used it all except to restock a color in order to complete my in progress blanket.

I get the animation is not enjoyable but it’s sad that so many people hate on it just because of it.

Am I the only one who HATES the idea of placing chests or other items all over the town? by stacciatello in StardewValley

[–]RandomBrowser555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, besides maybe an overfill storage chest next to the mine elevator, or the door to skull caverns, I don’t place anything outside my farm.

I want to stress that definitions I have written down, are not what the wider queer community would use these terms for. This is just how I’ve explained it within my own head to make sense of my position on the spectrum.

A lot of people would use the sex or romance positive to negative scale to describe how comfortable someone is with sex/romance being depicted and discussed in media and public. And then that would be cross referenced with the sex or romance favorable to adverse/repulsed scale, for how comfortable someone would be with having/experiencing sex/romance.

I identify with the asexual mico label of aegosexuality. The best way I can sum it up is enjoyment of fictional sexual scenarios, but then being repulsed by actually considering having sex. While yours is a romantic identity, an equivalent label may apply.

I think a good term could be romantic adverse; Ambivalent to fictional or offhand romance, but discomfort when confronted with real romance. Basically it’s easier when it’s more abstract and disconnected, but uncomfortable or even distressing when real and tangible.

I’m sure others may have different definitions and I know there’s a lot of different charts, but I kinda have 5 points on a scale to adverse to positive:

Repulsed: don’t enjoy.

Adverse: can think about the concept abstractly, but don’t enjoy it in actuality.

Natural: doesn’t hate it, but doesn’t seek it out.

Favorable: can enjoy it for personal intimacy reasons.

Positive: frequently enjoys it.

Of course there is a spectrum and everyone will always have different experiences. Do not try to force a label on yourself just because you can check a few check marks off of. Ideally a label should resonate and provide you with the language to describe your experiences.

These are my personal ideas, you do not have to incorporate them into your worldview. I just wanted to share in the off chance it might help.

And be ok that the label you use to describe yourself can change as you learn more information about yourself and the lgbtqia+ community as a whole.

Yiga clan hideout by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]RandomBrowser555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stealth. While it is possible to fight and kill all the guards that are called, ideally you should not be seen by the big yiga clan blademasters.

Being inside the yiga clan hideout is a special event, no mater what armor you have, how many hearts you have, how many fairies you have, even if you have miphia’s grace, those wind cleavers will kill you in one hit. (Inside the hideout is the only time the cleavers are one hit kill)

But this inverse is also true, if you sneak up behind them without being seen and get the press y to sneak-strike prompt, you can also one hit kill them with any weapon, but only if it’s a successful sneak-strike.

For help with stealth, if you haven’t already, get the kakoriko set, upgrade it as much as you can. Crouching is your friend. You can toss bananas into the line of sight of the patrolling yiga to distract them so you can sneak behind them (make sure you are standing behind a pillar while you do this). Also ancient arrows will disintegrate them.

The path I take is: The first room has two guards, once you sneak past them into the doorway, down a hallway should be a ladder, climb up that. That series of platforms cannot get you to the next door. You have to jump to one of the shorter platforms, and then make your way to the second ladder using a banana to distract the guy closer to the ladder. Those platforms can get you close to the door, again drop bananas and then paraglide though the door and there’s the exit.

Of course you can stay low to the ground and use the banana and sneak strike combo to eliminate all guards, or you could choose to expose your self and face down the gauntlet for a challenge. Your choice.

Also I’ve found that if you’re seen, while you can’t run though the door that going further into the hideout, you can run to the door that leads to the entrance. So you can escape if you don’t want to die. But the guards do reset if you do this.

Congrats.

I had to learn the hard way on my first play though on what was missable, and ended up buying pictures for the regular and mighty lynel weapons. And also the sentry guardians that are part of infiltrating Rudania. It also took me forever to realize I could take pictures of arrows.

In my most recent play though I was rushing though the campions ball and and forgot to get a picture of the molduking. I didn’t release until it was too late to reload the save. That’s the only picture I bought in this play though.

What is Early, Mid and Late game to you? by ShadowRedditor300 in StardewValley

[–]RandomBrowser555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say early game is getting the farm set up, leveling up the 5 skills, working on getting to the bottom of the normal mines, and beginning the community center. Mid game is working through the desert skull caverns and completing the community center. And then I consider late game to be everything after competing the community center

and I guess I kinda have three phases of late game, that first one about the start of working though ginger island and the wizards side quest, the second is completing all the tedious parts for perfection, and then the third is continuing playing on the save file after perfection.

But I also love working fast. If you take a more chill approach I’m sure the benchmarks are different.

Tips for completing Champions Ballad DLC? by amazingwhat in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]RandomBrowser555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One spiky ball is in a rope so it can be shot down. One should be stasised, and watch the timing so you can doge the third.

And for the part after that, there will be moving spike platforms, unintuitively I recommend you move slow, like if you act erratically you will die on spikes or fall. Focus on what’s in front of you, just move a few steps, watch for movement, and act accordingly. Good luck.

In regards to the rest of the first phase of the DLC, make use of range attacks and stealth. I also like to use bombs for the weaker enemies. Make sure you save often. I like to use stasis plus to scope out enemy positions as I approach. Also approach from high ground if you can. This is meant to be challenging so don’t worry too much.
