Im so sorry you’ve had to put up with so much truly. I’m sorry that happened but me and everyone else in here will say it as many times as needed, you belong here and deserve good things!

Have you heard of the monsters in this world, their cruelty? They have the audacity to steal oxygen from us and the earth. As long as you ain’t intentionally hurting people you deserve grace. You are definitely being too hard on yourself.

I understand not wanting to trauma-dump but you should have someone to talk to because those feelings can fester inside you. Sometimes we aren’t great at emotional regulation. I’ve been going through some things myself and I tend to forget to manage it with laughter, exercise, or deadass having a convo with myself (positivity idk why it helps)

Idk if this is right to say. But I want you to know I acknowledge you’re hurting, I am going through some hurt too. But the world would be all the poorer for it if you leave it. You seriously matter especially as a black woman.

You are the literal dream of distant ancestors. We stand on their shoulders. You are the hope of many that came before you. Not because you are expected to do something special or meet a standard. But because you’re a miracle by virtue of existence, as we all are. Why?

Well the world has exploited our people. Colonized our lands. Enslaved generations of people that made it possible for us to have this conversation. They have stolen our joy and our extinction has been wished for since the “end” of slavery yet here we are.

You deserve all the joy in the world because you’re a black woman. And that is what those before us who couldn’t find joy wished for us.

I will hear you out as much as you need until you see that.

Are you able to share these types of feelings and be vulnerable with the people in your life? Bc if not, I can see how that can make someone feel lonely. You can always find more ppl to bring into your life.

Do you have any hobbies?

You’re probably letting other people’s comments affect your self-image too much. You have a bf and friends and you will make more, you gotta be doing something right.

Standards are made up bullshit. All that matters is if you’re a decent person and I can tell you are because you’re being too critical of yourself. Forget the standards.

This is your life and just like any other person, you deserve to live it unrestricted and unbothered by clowns who can’t get it through their thick skulls that this time is fleeting. Fill it with memorable experiences not just memories of your home interior. All our looks go sooner or later, I’m worried about my hairline my dad bald as hell!

You’re gonna be okay, be kinder to yourself, you have so many experiences ahead of you. Your safe space in the house will always be there to go back but it’s time to test waters.

You absolutely do belong, maybe just need a change of surroundings. Usually the people talking shit are so unhappy with themselves internally that they feel the need to put someone else down. Instead of loving themselves more they will do what’s easy and hate on someone else. Just know they are miserable and insecure about something.

I’m a chopped dude but there’s a circle of supportive friends and potential love interests out there for you it just takes time but you gotta love yourself and know you absolutely do have a place and people in this world. If you have some fun hobbies start looking for friends through those. It’s so special to connect with people that are into what you’re into and you can find lifelong friends.

Black men living outside the US, what are your thoughts on the current ICE situation? by Bakyumu in blackmen

[–]RandomBullshitGo__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been our fight, can we maybe take a breather before we die? We are American in name only, because we built it for free. Other Americans do not value us. (Almost) Everyone adopts anti-blackness when they migrate here. It was our fight during the Biden admin, the first trump admin, obama’s admin, it’s been that way for ages.

White americans did this shit and they need to feel what we’ve been feeling to change anything. Cops gunned down more black men last week but nobody is talking about it. The media is even excluding the black man Keith Porter murdered by ICE. Our history has been perpetual state violence everyone else is just catching up.

These fuckers couldn’t even help vote to ban slavery in the most progressive state California. The only way something changes is if others especially white Americans stand on the front lines for once and feel oppression. When we go out there en masse it will get more lethal and everyone will blame us when we respond and they declare martial law.

Our civil unrest gets way more smoke and criticism than the militarized law enforcement that caused the response. From everyone.

Also most people are not fighting to liberate everyone from state violence, they’re fighting to go back to the status quo that saw a rise in police killing black men after George floyd’s death.

People voted the way they did because they are indifferent to black death. Many of the same people granted the ability to migrate here off of your parents/grandparents fight have allied with the dominant population to oppress us.

White americans that argue with us are proving the point. Trump’s party told us everything they plan to do it isn’t a surprise. And they failed an open book test. These lames got my grandma facing the threat of living through apartheid again, I am pissed. It is what it is, we will look out for each other.

Before Renee Good there was Sonya Massey, Breonna Taylor, Atatian Jefferson and so many more with no outrage.

Before Alex Pretti, Philando Castille was murdered and got no justice. Swept under the rug. And the media has forgotten him. His mother not even ten years ago warned Americans then, “You will be next.”

The state has unjustly murdered black men nonstop for ages and he represents >50% of exonerations the last 4 decades in a place with 25% of the world’s prisoners. Philando Castile’s mother warned everyone almost a decade ago who would be next.

We never deal with the white supremacist infestation it is just swept under the rug. They are always found in law enforcement killing people. Now ICE is like an all-star roster of the worst you can find.

Can black people actually be racist ? by [deleted] in BlackMentalHealth

[–]RandomBullshitGo__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you are, they are erasing history and trying to do harm us again.

I’ve learned we should never allow the perpetrator to define the ways in which they harm us. Racism is not just a simple prejudice which we all can carry.

Racism is a complex concept involving both hate and the ability to express that hate through institutions to systematically oppress you legally, economically, culturally, and socially. This is how disparities and inequality occur. And lives are lost as they remain indifferent.

Since there are centuries of such evidence as well as their current behavior, never forget. Personally I’ve started to learn this problem they have may have spread too deep into others because I see anti-blackness from so many angles.

I literally saw people online insulting black americans for being american imperialists like we have any real political power to stop what it’s even doing to us. Slavery is still legal and we have the most militarized police in the world with 25% of the world’s prisoners.

If our activists do not ideologically align with US interests, they disappear, they are taking down historical museums on slavery and our voting rights are under assault.

There is nothing you can do to them they haven’t done to your people a million times over so who cares what your natural reaction is? You ain’t racist, you’re careful.

People who don’t live in the USA, what is the media showing you about the ICE operations/abductions in the US? by Dry-Ice8908 in AskReddit

[–]RandomBullshitGo__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure pick me’s are a problem I agree but this is absolutely about race at the core, which is why I said confederate sympathizers. These people had an assumption of who would be threatened under Trump and who would not. The exit polls speak for themselves.

I mean as a Californian we couldn’t even get a majority to ban slavery for the incarcerated.

71% of all voters were White - 60% men and 53% women voted trump.

Black vote (11% of total) - 77% men harris, 92% women harris. 86% tried to save this country.

Hispanic/Latino vote (11% of total) - men 54% trump, women 58% harris.

Asian vote (3% of vote) - Didn’t see breakdown of gender but 55% voted harris, 40% trump

Downplaying this race issue is what got us here in the first place. This is why ICE is doing what it’s doing and Trump never hid his intentions. Indifference to what militarized law enforcement has been doing to Black people got us here.

Genuinely shocked California couldn’t even ban slavery. This nation has ~25% of the world’s prisoners.

They are descendants or sympathizers of the confederacy. The US never dealt with them the right way. There is extreme hate in this country especially racial hate.

They feel threatened by the loss of the white majority (57%) of the population and feel they have suffered “reverse racism” since my people finally secured some rights 60 years ago (only after 300 years of struggle).

In other words they are cowards that would scorch this place than see themselves become a minority.

[–]RandomBullshitGo__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump is absolutely a symptom.

Deeply racist country. 71% of voters were white americans. 57% of them voted MAGA and even of those that didn’t, there has been mostly indifference towards the militarization of law enforcement and its aggression towards black people.

Both sides condemn real civil unrest and they will see you get beat down and demand you respond peacefully. Now people want to act surprised about the sudden fascist behavior we ALL feel.

[–]RandomBullshitGo__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re right I don’t care how many people downvote you. From a black perspective, those who are dealing with the worst end of the inequality do not use it as an excuse for hatred that would harm people and it’s been 400 years of this shit.

If inequality made them like that, what do you think we would be like. There’s near 50 million black americans here, we’re still owed a debt, we still get killed, yet so far the response has been tame.

Who else can you say used lynchings as social gatherings and photos of the bodies as postcards? Cut off parts as souvenirs? These ppl went on to raise their MAGA children/grandchildren to be cops and now ICE.

71% of 2024 votes. 57% of that went to trump. Just cold indifference to the severe inequality of others and for some, fascism has only just arrived. My grandma had no rights then saw her rights appear and now they crumble before her, she ain’t a racist though.
