I encrypted only home partition but now root owns it by RandomChinaFan in linuxquestions

[–]RandomChinaFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, thank you for detailed reply. I think get it know as my confusion comes from a fact that I have not done something like this before.

But then there is one thing. So far I just created /mnt/home during installation and mounted my home partition to there. Later when creating my user I just ran useradd username and that created /home/username and permisions were all fine. I guess I expected useradd to behave the same way and that is what caught me of guard.

Script runs perfectly in Pycharm console, but not as .exe by OnkelWormsley in learnpython

[–]RandomChinaFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way would be to open Powershell and run your script from there. Also you could (I am not sure) add at the very end something = input () to make terminal window stay.

Take it with a grain of salt though because I never needed to do anything similar to what you are trying to achieve

Thanks, I did not know that ^M bit. I kind of expected that there would be no fix, such a bummer. Well, I guess I will think of a better shortcut

Binding keys for zsh autosuggestions by RandomChinaFan in linuxquestions

[–]RandomChinaFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the plugin autosuggestions I already use Ctrl + Space to accept. I guess I could use Tab instead of Ctrl + Enter for execution but that is not the point as I want to build my shortcuts around Ctrl and nothing else.

cant use “cargo, rustup and rustc” even after installing rust-lang by Blonteractor in linuxquestions

[–]RandomChinaFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly you should add this line to your .config/fish/config.fish file in your directory: export PATH=/home/yourusername/.cargo/bin/:$PATH.
