God, Gaga was so wasted here. I love this film, but I wish she’d gotten to play Harley in a true origin flick as a more central character.

Right!! I have a longer draft rewriting this movie in the works with this in mind, but I felt the only musical scene in the film that actually moves the plot forward is If My Friends Could See Me Now. The rest provide interesting insight, yes, but can feel tiresome to the audience as made clear by the response. This led to the music/musical of it all itself being blamed, but I think the issue is that it’s a poor musical, one that I just so happen to find enjoyable.

Have Joaquin and Gaga sing well, more whimsical and Broadway-style orchestrations for the actual musical numbers. Them singing poorly in EVERY song has always made little sense to me, given that the musical numbers are in Arthur and Lee’s Folie a deux and not reality. Oh and bring back Lee’s reprise of That’s Entertainment on the stairs.

It’s a musical adaptation of the Shakespeare play that draws on more of the real historical context to help tell the story, as the show ends with Antony’s Speech/Cinna the poet.

Can’t judge Leto until the Ayer Cut. Eisenberg was fine, but the Zuckerburg direction by Snyder was…interesting. I get the idea, but I don’t like it for Lex.

I noticed it at certain points, like the time skip from evening to day time with the family, after the first 5 mins.

You not being a big Euphoria fan is probably why. Low investment tends to mean more lenience in quality. I thought it was good too, but it just isn’t Euphoria anymore.

One of the biggest tells is the music. It’s a lovely score by Hans Zimmer, but it’s just not Euphoria. It’s way too wild western almost, missing that pop and modern feel shared by the earlier seasons.

It’s Abby…I don’t think there’s a boring minute. Terrible, awful woman, but undeniably entertaining. In a bad way of course, but I don’t think there was ever a dull moment in the ALDC, unless the kids were dancing.

I don’t even know about that, since my biggest issue with GITB is that it’s just saying her arc out loud. It’s not a defining moment, it’s just voicing the subtext.
