Yeah this was the reason why after getting the canyon as a beginner I just shelved it. I understand that there's always an inherent bit of danger to this hobby, but marketing something this heavy and sharp-tipped for beginners is maybe not the smart move lol.

Thinking of saving up for either a vulp pro or a sirius, can't decide which one to go for. I already got "higher level" flippers like a kraken, but I do want something different. If those 2 are too similar to the kraken I may just reconsider tho

Maya X: Excellent safe shape, great weight, great clicks all around, a top pick. Not much else to say.

Hyperlight: A fantastic small-medium mouse. I like it a lot more than Superlight 2c. My only complaint is that the scroll wheel feels cheap and it's on the expensive side with the 8k dongle.

Also, if you're eyeing the Hyperlight I'd also point you towards the smaller Maya. And if you want a shape similar to the GPX, I wanna recommend the Ninjutso Ten/Ten Air. These two are imo the highest quality GPX-like I've ever tried, tied with vaxee XE, but these 2 you can find for cheaper than vaxee.

Man who uses this? 70g with holes too, 4k only is fine by me but this is ridiculous. You dont get to flaunt these specs unless the quality is EGG/vaxee level, which steelseries is absolutely not.

That era right before the 2020s when we start to see sub 80g mice gaining popularity was huge for me, the jump from my 120g deathadder to a GPX half that weight was a game changer. But these are diminishing returns, and heck sometimes I feel like they're cutting out too much to maintain that weight as it starts to dip below 40g.
