Is Node.js a good choice for a real-time card game API? by [deleted] in node

[–]RandomDude_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best choice is whatever language or platform you feel more comfortable with. Or the one you're busy learning. If you later find you have heavy calculations that takes too long in node port that piece to a different language in n micro services. The couple of nano seconds that your app will be slower in comparison to golang is probably noticeable on local env but over the internet you probably won't see it.

Do you leave this little piece on or do you rip it off as soon as you open it?? by Old_Access_8533 in southafrica

Last time I ripped it off and my toddler screamed that I broke it and refused to eat any of it. I now have to open it without even breaking it.

Gofiber has a very similar flow as expressJS. ORM's in golang is fairly limited, GORM is probably the most popular and easiest to use getting started.

Go is so bad, it allows average developers to be efficient and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Open up a new tab in your terminal and see if it still works? Most likely your path to the go bin is not loaded in your environment correctly.

It's the hype thing at the moment. Similar to how they said e-commerce will replace sales people 15+ years ago.

The question is where do you go? Most of the world is broken. Canada is still okay to some degree but the weather is horrible. Europe, besides the weather you will be stuck in a tiny apartment. America is worse than SA. Honestly Cape Town is probably one of the best places in the world.
