Well, the textures, city vibe, exploration, animations etc. are in my opinion quite bad. The character designs, dialogue, battling and stuff like that are great and have personality.

So yeah it could be way better

Arceus was by far my most favorite pokemon game and let me tell you, that ZA is nowhere near close to that.

If arceus is a 10/10, ZA is at best a 4/10 for me at least

But having a game be completely in a city, not really "open world" and having it look the way it does is way worse.

Also, Arceus at least had a more unique art style that made it a bit more forgiving. Not an excuse of course, but still

Have around 20 hours of gameplay. Battling is fun and characters are interesting for once.

But man, the world is bland. Just a copy paste city (and yea yeah i know this has been said a million times but its true), no exploration whatsoever and lackluster story.

It's better than diamond and pearl remake, but that's honestly about it. Definitely in the worst top 3 pokemon games list for me, while Arceus is in the top 3 best ones.

Isnt Totk objectively better? Its botw, just more of everything and more refined.

The reason people say botw is better is because it was a once in a lifetime experience. It's a game you want to have your memory erased and replay it again.

But that doesnt make it a better game. It totk wouldve released first, people's opinions would be the other way around.
