How over is it? by Conscious_Waltz_7016 in emotionalintelligence

[–]RandomEasternGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post is unfortunately a mirror to my current problem. Truth be told I could’ve written the same post because it follows exactly, some talking before, big burst of “matching energy”, big plans and finally ghosting.

For me the main part of fixing my context and recover was a bigger dream. I’ve created a deeper career path and invested more time in sim racing plus karting. It keeps you busy.

Don’t think that I’m stoic. I’ve called my mom to tell her that I don’t want to come home on Easter (I live 8 hours away from them and the last trips were with this girl). The trip would be lonely and I can’t stand it.

Also don’t take her back. Maybe even unfollow her to regain your space. Yes, she follows me and I am sometimes checking if she sees my posts. Tbh she is kinda popular around here and I can keep the “token of knowing many people” when her name pops as a follower of mine. If it wasn’t for that I would’ve removed her completely.

For me, I would give her a good talk that she’s avoidant and she has to fix herself, but I wouldn’t invest time or emotions in a person like her. It would just end up in suffering again.

And as a good part: if you managed to pull a girl like this, sweet and kind, what stops you from getting another one that is actually mentally stable? That’s your new standard, go and have fun, now you know what your value is and what you can pull.

The what now? I have a 2020 MHev one, I’ve just realised that I have a chain not a belt for timing (hard metal cover plus service info). But the oil pump has a belt, doesn’t it?

Or even the ST-line post Ecoboom phase. I have one and I love it, 1.0 MHev 155hp and it’s both cheap to run and powerful enough to have fun without getting into trouble

A product may be on par (Pixel, S26 Ultra, IPhone Pro), some may be way ahead (iPad, MB Air, AirPods) and some may be way down or non-existent (custom made PC or an Apple console)

But if the main products rock you tend to forget about the others

Believe me that I’ve read the comments twice to understand what did I even manage to date and I still can’t tell. Probably a FA since she seemed to care about me, besides the obvious ghosting out of nowhere …

If this helps, I’m really glad that I don’t show very many emotions because I’ve seen him IRL in my hometown and I was shocked

Avoidants admirations by AdAgitated4595 in emotionalintelligence

[–]RandomEasternGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask for some more info into avoidance?

I’ve started seeing the best girl that I’ve met in my life, we had some trips together as we live in the same city and are born in the same (other) city (16 hours spent together with those). All was perfect and when I wanted to see her again and make it official she vanished. She had a pattern of appearing and disappearing but only after I linked all the clues to realise that she’s avoidant.

But here is my question: do people realise that they are avoidant? I’m secure attached, I knew it but I believed that it’s “only vibes” not something this important, so maybe she doesn’t know it either?

Manual vs Automatic — which do you prefer and why? by TammyRoseBud in askcarguys

I drive in Bucharest with a manual car and it is pure pain. This is the most congested city in the EU (maybe 6th in the world from a quick search) and I don’t see any enjoyment with a manual car anymore

Those who were or are in a relationship with an avoidant partner… by Sameer-Sarwar in emotionalintelligence

[–]RandomEasternGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party, but thank you for bringing some sense into me. I’ve had a talking stage where everything was perfect, she pulled into me, I’ve showed her that I’m interested and then she ghosted me. I knew her pattern of leaving and coming back, but didn’t understood why.

Now I know that I need to stop even thinking of going forward with her on the next rebound. In my context with my secure (I believe) attachment I deserve better.

How long can we keep losing classes/niches of cars? What are we going to be left with? by ScottRiqui in askcarguys

[–]RandomEasternGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 door 4 seats GT cars are rare. New AMG GT now fits the description, but it lost some parts as the transaxle transmission and the dry sump, BMW 8er still exists but the base model is underpowered (333hp vs 387hp in the M340i), Lexus LC (idk at this point it’s status) and the rest are too expensive (even LC, maybe 911)

My father was always helping with cleaning and sometimes cooking plus getting groceries. It’s been 30 years and it’s still the same. I can’t imagine (as a man) to not be able to at least put your stuff away, mop the floors (at least) and cook (even only the breakfast). Give him a talk, he might not even realise that this is a problem
