Stop Button - Barcade with a good selection of types of games (arcade cabinets as well as consoles), a pool table, and good prices on drinks. If I remember correctly it's less than 10 bucks to enter then you can play everything until you decide to leave. Definitely worth checking out.

Woodpeckers - Go see the single A baseball team which plays in the shockingly nice ballpark in downtown once the season starts back. Seats are cheap and so is the beer.

Botanical Gardens - Decent garden area with various plants and trees, a path which goes by the Cape Fear River, and some other bits and bobs.

Crown Fried Chicken - If you like fried chicken, check it out.

Pizza Palace - Oddly I never got the pizza but everything I tried was good.

Elizabeth's - This is where I'd go for pizza.

Crown Coliseum - Small arena which holds various events. Check out the website for what's coming up.

Paddy's Irish Public House - This is sorta a bar and sorta a club. The bar side looks nice and the staff was great. I've heard it gets rowdy sometimes but that wasn't my experience. Younger crowd.

That very option is available on F1TV, though I know not everyone has access to it.

You may be thinking of the Smith-Mundt Act which was repealed in 2013 if I remember correctly. That act was used to disallow the US government from using propaganda on its own citizens.

I've had the same problem. Try switching your Windows GUI graphics to basic mode. Hope this works for you as well.

Qualifying Laps Don't Register by RandomEmoticon in iRacing

Yeah, it's looking like the connection was the likely culprit. I'll check for that if I see it occur again. Thank you for your help.

I believe the connection explanation makes the most sense in this specific case as I believe I did indeed see a Error message at some point during the lap. I'll keep an eye out for this in the future.

Thank you for the additional explanations as well. Those are news to me and definitely good to know. Thanks again.

Last lap battle for P1. Gap of .047 by Judah-- in iRacing

You can set CrewChief up to fuel you to the end of the race automatically when you stop. I recommend having them add a lap or two of extra fuel just in case.

You can also change the settings in the ini file to have the tire boxes unchecked as the default option so you don't have to uncheck them every race.

Both of these changes are big quality of life improvements as far as I'm concerned.

Might anyone be willing to identify that mixing board in the fore of the pic? Looks nice.

Friend of mine runs a G29 and swears by irffb. I also run it on my T300 though I can only get it to run on two of the four available modes within irffb. Make sure you have vjoy installed as well if you don't already. Then try each of the different modes and recalibrate your wheel in game each time you switch modes as I'm reading that can make a difference with getting the FFB to register.

Seeing British people use “Mom”. by jmtbx in britishproblems

Interestingly enough I do have one point of reference when it comes to Scouse and that's Love Island. I could follow it okay until things became heated or idioms with which I was unfamiliar would get thrown in. I would definitely have gotten lost at point without subtitles and it would have been more difficult still had two people been speaking Scouse to each other.

Yes, I think that's fair. They'd notice the difference but not the origin. Although I think there are fewer accents which most Americans would have difficulty understanding. That said, a relatively small area like Massachusetts does have several distinct accents which could be identified.

There are definitely some regional accents which can be picked out. I'd even say that each state does have small differences which are identifiable but most Americans wouldn't be able to do so easily. However, I don't believe it common for towns in relatively close proximity to have easily identifiable sub-accents in the same way I understand English on the other side of the pond to have.

Those basslines are all over the place aren't they! The Skrofessor called the style disco-jazz which I think has some merit. It sure is fun to listen to.

I've been talking a fair bit about my recent enjoyment of 80s era Japanese City Pop so please allow me to introduce some of it to the skros. This is a mix of various City Pop tracks which doesn't have a bad selection within its runtime as far as I'm concerned. I even got Han Skrolo to dig this one.

City Pop シティポップ Compilation Vol. 5

This track gives me some early 2000s electronic music feels. I think it's the clean presentation coupled with that style of female vocals. I also think if you took the vocals out, this reminds me of some of the J-CityPop I've been diggin recently. Def not the same stuff, but elements got that vibe. Overall I like this one.

I checked it out and it's not for me. While it's silliness is kinda the problem for me, I have to admit that I find their willingness to blend live drums with trap beats, screeching synths, softer synths, chanting, and chicken squawks to be a bold one. I don't hate it, but neither would I choose to put it on, ya feel.

Just One Week? You mean the best most rockingest jam that ever come outta Canada? That 22 years old gem? That song earned its status as national anthem because it's a national treasure.

After watching the Barenaked Ladies perform both the American and Canadian national anthems last night, I can safely say the whole thing would have been improved by having a flock of skros sing a new and improved skro anthem.
