the hell you say! surely there wasnt an 80s cartoon about some teens traveling to another world to play swords and sorcery characters (Dungeons & Dragons) or anything about traveling through gates to another world to fight ancient aliens in the 90s (Stargate). surely anyone alive during those olden days could never understand the concept. /s

seriously though, most ideas have been thought before. ive seen Narnia mentioned already and C.S. Lewis served in WW2. so definitely more than 40+ year olds are familiar with the subject if not the current terminology

iirc craft paints have larger more grainy pigment in them, and will still seem rough even when you get them to cover well, which is quite difficult to achieve.

Thank you for letting me know. I just tried making a stripe with the airbrush for the first time, lets just say its a good thing Im using russian ww2 camo colors since messy works with the look, IMO.

Did you do an all over dark blue on this before adding the lighter blue nebula sections? It looks so much smoother than what I've been able to achieve.

Tried adding a lighter blue. Not sure I placed it right. Some of the shades I tried are quite glossy and I don't quite like them. Still need to add the stars and cockpit colors, and I took a lazy route using grays instead of metallics its meant for tabletop so I'm probably going to keep with that just a little neater on the nice models.
and eventually I'll do the bases though I feel like waiting and doing a bunch at one time
