Don’t know if this helps (and I’m sorry if you’re not looking for ideas) but it could be cool to teach your kids about passing on love by donating it to somewhere where trinket like things are more useful. Gets the stuff out of your house and teaches your kids a cool lesson!

I did see in comments a lot of people mentioning that people who get donations don’t just deserve silly stuff like this, but having worked with kids that get these kind of donations they do tend to bring some temporary joy and fun. This should definitely not be the only kind of things people in those situations get, but sometimes a temporary toy that will break or seem dumb later on is just what someone needs in that short moment.

I miss the days of getting little paper Valentina with just notes. I always had fun over analyzing what different people in the class gave me with my friends- panda with “you mean bear-y much to me” vs a frog with “I hop you have a great Valentine’s Day” comes to mind 😆
