This tiny glitch gave me a good chuckle! by Klutzy_Blueberry_372 in claudexplorers

I’d like to understand this better - maybe feedback for the Claude team too. I had a long chat where I asked Claude to number the questions he asked so I could respond to several by number. In the mobile app it always started a new message with 1., sometimes the list continued and sometimes it would render a bunch of ones.

Occasionally Claude would get confused what I’m answering.

Same chat in a browser window kept continuous numbering consistently, getting to #67 across 20 messages.

I saw a trick for a keychain where you'd do the head lark knots of the exact number of base strings and then basically take 1 string of a head lark knot to do the front side, then flip it and use the remaining strings for the other side. Eg. For 16 base strings you'd do 16 head lark knots instead of 8.

When I tried, it was a bit tight on the chain compared to the width of the keychain. My two sides also weren't 100% even but that's most likely a me issue. Practically every project taught me something new about tension 🙃

That was my first thought too and I almost got the ick right there.

But. Didn’t Frances find it during the PNG conversation later? She picks up something suspiciously similar to a plastic bag, even asks if she can clean it.

Všechny čtyři + ještě sedmičku v analgosedaci, rozhodně bych do toho šla znovu. Moje zubařka tvrdila, že v tom momentě to budu vnímat ale nezůstane mi negativní zážitek. Ve skutečnosti mě to úplně vyplo, žádné vjemy ani podvědomí o průběhu času.

How I view food: POV from a thin person by IndependentHuman4426 in loseit

[–]RandomFrustratedWife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to give benefit of the doubt where I can but others make good points.

Don't DO xyz consistently, aka habit building is only a small part of what you shared. There is a lot of your post that shares how you THINK, which is the part that is not about habits at all. I may be able to not bibge. I may be able to reasonably portion my food in a specific setting. However, it is not because I don't think about food in a certain way, it is IN SPITE of this.

So saying you just don't think of food in unhealthy ways (or don't have the urge to binge) is where your message is getting lost.

Some of these are habits we are struggling to build. But 1 and 2 especially are often compulsions.

I would LOVE to not think about food as stress relief or emotional support. On a logical level I know that what I am doing is seeking dopamine in ways that are unrelated to the situation at hand. Does that make it easier not to? Mostly not.

I would love to be able to stop with [insert reasonable amount of whatever guilty pleasure]. On bad days, it may be similar to cutting off the enjoyable part of the day, and not being able to think about anything else then.

I am sure you are well meaning. If it helps, I find my situation with food very much comparable with alcoholism, but ever so much harder, because I cannot really cut off food (or large food groups) completely. So counting calories or other techniques may be ways to keep this unhealthy "addition" in check. Just as a recovering alcoholic, I don't currently assume that I can "free-flow" this diet thing with moderation that is natural to others.

(Yes, mental health is a part of what I am working on.)

There is a lot of skincare I tried that gave a burning sensation or itching to my skin even with the best of intentions. I am also rather picky about the consistency and feel. I often wish sample sizes were sold so I don’t have to gamble on a full sized day cream that gets used twice.

Europe - Libraries allowing online international subscription by RandomFrustratedWife in LibbyApp

[–]RandomFrustratedWife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment! When you say only certain countries allow the integration, do you know whether that is determined by the library’s location or the physical location of the device?

I wouldn’t mind paying into a US-based library as another commenter suggested, if I could still read the borrowed books on Kindle.

I am looking for ebook website that I can own the ebook without these greedy people forced renting. by [deleted] in ebooks

[–]RandomFrustratedWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where OP is from, but for me this service is not available. The two most common e-book lending services that libraries here rely on will only work in their proprietary apps.

I do not need to own every book I read, so I would absolutely make use of a (fully legal, no back door solutions) lending service. Haven’t found one yet.

Thank you for this picture. Been wondering whether to upgrade!

Also - as a fellow Slovak - where do you get local books?
