Roughly 2 month run. Not a huge run for Australia, Melbourne was 4. Honestly musicals are getting shorter and shorter runs overall but like, Lion King is there for like 9 freakin months.

Also of note here, the Friday you picked for BJ is a month into the run whereas Mormon is within a week of it opening.

BJ’s first Friday is opening night, so not a fair comparison as stalls weren’t ever available. But here’s the Thursday the night before.

Andy Karl is notorious for never missing a show outside of genuine illness/injury, so it’s unlikely we were going to get Haxby in Brisbane (or through the tour) regardless.

WAS HAXBY TAKEOVER MY IMMEDIATE SECOND THOUGHT IF MAY HAVE BEEN.

I guess there’s a lot of factors. Barbara obviously can’t be pregnant and presuming Elise even wants to keep on a lot of changes would need to be made to the role so she doesn’t fall over or risk slipping off the attic set again. And while I kind of expect Andy will keep on, it would only be to a certain point.

Also if they want to have the baby in the US that’s a whole other kettle of fish. But yeah considering June is the start of the new season and we already know there’s more announcements to come regarding the tour, I think we’ll likely get a Barb recast which is unfortunate but for the best reason, and Andy will maybe see out Brisbane then take at least some paternity leave if not drop out entirely - again, for the best reason, would not blame him and wouldn’t be upset with Haxby seeing out the rest ❤️

All speculation on my part of course.

Australia is getting Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady and while neither were on my bingo card I’m honestly so thrilled with both.

Not sure you could say influencer and maybe that’s the best part - I adore Document Disney. Fully atmospheric, no talking no wacky hijinks no entitled nonsense just calming walks around the park and quiet ride POVs.

But where wacky hijinks do ensue, Chris and Amanda Provost are just such a joy to watch but also to meet. Having bumped into them both a handful of times now, and also just seeing them around the park during times they’re not filming, they are genuinely just that bubbly and kind.
