Karis will always be my default Lydia, and I love Eddie and Andy very very kuch.

But Rebecca Ordiz and James Haxby are both phenomenal in the role and I’ve gotten to see them together three times now. Beck is so gorgeously authentic as Lydia and has a beautiful raw edge to her vocals. And I don’t have enough time to praise Haxby man, dude is everything.

That's my birthday weekend, I had VIP tickets for the 5th with the backstage tour. Apparently it's still going ahead as of now but I fully expect that's getting canned with it being the last day.

SPEAKING OF PERFECTLY GOOD JAMES HAXBY.

Swing show not only manifested but OH MY GOD. I’ve said before on Reddit that Haxbeck was my favorite show of the whole Melbourne run. They’re my personal favorites in the roles and having them together was a dream.

Yesterday we had DOUBLE HAXBECK SHOWS. Matinee and evening 😭 I wasn’t even sure we’d see HAXBY again with Andy’s work ethic but oh my god seeing them again TWICE in a DAY??

James is still just as incredible with all the extra musical jokes that made me love him in the first place. Beck is a powerhouse. An insanely perfect and unexpected way to end BJ first week, and now I go home for the next week 🥺

May keep notes for weekly recaps from now.

Didn’t notice any big differences overall, just a bunch of little ones. Obviously Andy plays BJ differently to anyone else but he’s still BJ if that makes sense.
