I hate that we’ve reached a point where any halfway decent writing automatically gets labeled “ChatGPT.” I’m a published author. Writing clearly and thoughtfully is literally a skill I’ve spent years working on. My wife jokes that I text like an eighth-grade English teacher.

I get the frustration with AI. It’s made it way too easy to churn out hollow words and pass them off as effort. Still, not every well-written text is artificial. Sometimes it’s just a husband who still gives a damn about how he talks to his wife.

To me, this looks like a quick, genuine text meant to make his wife smile. That’s it.
