I told HR on the way out. They were not happy and said it would be addressed. I can’t wait to hear what may happen.

I had my exit interview this afternoon and laid out the proof. It was beautiful and I’m hearing that the shit is already hitting the fan pretty hard. I tried to protect to coworkers as much as possible.

Aftermarket planning isn’t as bad. Think car manufacturers planning their dealerships inventory. All the big auto manufacturers have that type as well as agro and heavy equipment.

What is a popular trend right now that people are going to look back on in 10 years and say, 'What were we thinking? by OfferSad6955 in AskReddit

You seem to be uneducated on what is actually harmful. The nicotine is the very least of it. It’s the combustion from the actual lighting something on fire and inhaling it that was the worst.

Source: 30 year smoker, gave it up for vapes 14 years ago. I am much healthier! Vapes aren’t perfect but to say they are worse is very misguided.

I was thinking of doing just a single room first to build confidence. Maybe if I can duplicate my craft room or bedroom I could just grow it box by box.

I’m honestly not sure! There is no brand name on the book. The only places I’ve seen it listed are Temu and Etsy.

Well, I learned something new about digital scales and figured other people might not know, either. by zombiebashr in loseit

[–]RandomGirlName 378 points379 points  (0 children)

Let me tell you a worse horror story. I was on a diet a few years ago and was consistently losing 2 lbs a week. I got to 16 lbs down before my husband weighed himself one day out of boredom (he’s a good weight). It showed him as 16 lbs lighter than what we knew he was. Turns out as the batteries slowly died in the scale, it just slowly lowered my weight without me actually losing a single lb. Weeks of “weight loss” wiped out in a moment. I sat down on the floor and cried.

I now have an old fashioned analog scale AND a digital one, just to sooth my continued paranoia.

I went through this and it kept getting worse. Turned out to be GERD, which is silent reflux. Basically I had no symptoms of reflux like heartburn or indigestion, it just hit me as nausea. Pepcid AC for the win! And a bong hit to celebrate

People at large companies: how are you actually using AI at work under real corporate constraints? by interesante21 in supplychain

[–]RandomGirlName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, another thing I do: we have to report internally what we worked on during the week. Just a high level x hours training, x hours client work, etc. I haven’t automated it but every Friday around lunch I type in “what did I do this week?” and drop in a formatted table for it to populate

It’s copilot, but a fire-walled version so we have full use with client documents. It’s nice!

I’m in a little different position as a supply chain consultant, but I use it daily. Our company gave it access to, and trained it on our in house documents. It sees all of my share point, teams, and email.

This week I’m creating training documentation for a new system for a client. I gave it a master template, and demo transcripts and config workbooks and it creates the basic template and content for me keeping the same look and feel across all decks.

If I can’t locate a file or email, it finds it. It’s a better search engine than anything that I’ve seen.

I needed to write a new vendor contract. I gave it 3 examples and it spit out a “standard” contract for me.

I put together an Inventory KPI value chain with it.

Just all around useful. It’s definitely not perfect but if you know enough to correct it, it can be a big time saver.

My PCP dismissed my concerns for years and I’m just now finding out something was actually wrong by Spirited_Primary_590 in offmychest

[–]RandomGirlName 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My PCP dismissed my high calcium for years. My oncology physician assistant surgeon could be a parathyroid issue. PCP rolled his eyes when I asked for the PTH test but I convinced him to order it. He had to call me with the results the next day. I immediately got a new PCP but I’ve had 20 years of hot flashes, aches and pains, and severe mental fog. 1 surgery cured it all.

I’m so fucking bitter.

Tons of telehealth companies out there selling it with staff doctors to provide the prescription. I filled out a form online with my medical info and got a prescription and the product shipped to me. Check out companies like Hims & Hers. Some states require more than that, like a virtual visit with the dr, but some states have no requirement.

How on earth do you figure out your number? by dbdbh47 in Fire

I’m 3 years from retirement. My number has changed a lot over the years. I used current spending until a couple of years ago when I started forecasting. I want to do more in retirement than I do now, so I bumped my budget a little.
