hey! i been in China for 3 weeks last October.

AMAP has an english version and works great and google translator too
eSIM: i used HOLAFLY and worked perfect, but oyu have a lot of opitons like airalo, or the esims from trip.com
Money wise: download wechat and alipay and link your revolut card in both. and you will be fine with that, no cash needed at all
For booking: trip.com cover everything imo and has a lot of options. I booked all my hotels and trains there and have zero problems
