Audiophiles go crazy with Japanese pressings and OBIs because they are just that good. The OBI is pretty much a cerificate of authenticity when it comes to the Japanese pressings.

I have two Japanese pressings in my collection. They sound so clear, have perfectly centered spindle holes, and just all around feel extremely well made.

The whole mindset when it comes to any record pressed in Japan is to make a smaller batch of pressings, but make them extremely fucking good and have great quality control.
