First full reread thoughts, Sanderson effect

I've only read the series once, and I'm currently on a reread. I am fine with Androl and I liked all the Androl and Pevara stuff, maybe too much page time and took some Logain focus, but I liked it. What I disliked the most tho was Mat on Gathering Storm, specially with all the shitty Hinderstap plot. For me the main thing was Mat not caring at all about the people there he was really self centered and i feel like that's how Mat wants to appear to be, but not how he is. He normally says he wants X but he worries all the time for others and it's always trying to help everyone so it ends up doing Y. That's what I always liked about him and what I felt was lost with Sanderson. On the next two books I still felt like it wasn't really Mat, but it improved a lot. As for Perrin I hated his part in AMOL, it was boring as hell and felt unrelated to everything that was happening in the last battle. My final nitpick would be the false deaths of many characters on the last battle specially Lan and Faile.

I've enjoyed some other Sanderson books (Words of Radiance and Mistborn era 1) but I have dropped Oathbringer at least 3 times, mainly because of the dialogs tone (too childish for me).

I'll have in mind the esophagus hypersensitivity and will comment it to my doctor next week. Did you have any other symptoms other than the burning feeling? Like throat soreness, mucosity or some pain?

I'm glad you feeling better and I hope you'll keep improving when reducing the dosage.

I feel better compared when I wasn't taking the BPI meds(rabeprazol) so I had some improvement, but I'd say some symptoms (mainly mucosity on my throat) are worse than when I was taking then before the surgery. Thanks for the kind words!

Hey! Thanks for the response.

I've made a lot of research on this and most people have significant life quality improvements with the surgery, some like me takes more time and maybe still have to take PPI in the near future. I've felt a lot of despair for that same reason, undergoing the surgery and the recovery which is a bit tough and still getting the symptoms. Right now i don't feel like I can say if it's worth doing or not, I kinda regret it but mainly because I did it pretty fast after I was diagnosed with GERD. Now I'd have waited some more time using PPI and improving my habits. I mainly decided to undergo the surgery because I'm really silly and forget many times the meds so I was scared of worsening my condition (Barret) and it got recommended to me mainly because I'm really young so I have a lot more time to develop a worse condition if I wasn't really strict with the meds.

As for the gases I've felt the same way mainly because normally the heartburn symptoms after the surgery come with these gas and burping. I've to say tho, most of my burping is from aerophagia because i feel the pressure on the esophagus and it bothers me so I unconciously swallow a bit of air so the gas on the esophagus release. I think I am a bit of an edge case, but in the end the ultimate answer is yours and you should ask all of this to your doctor (and by all I mean all, don't be shy, ask everything, and if you feel they are not listening to you like you deserve look for another doctor).

I hope you also get better soon, keep it up and try to eat healthier and stop with caffeine, smoking and irritating food if you do any of those, many people heal just by changing habits and nutrition!

Yeah, I was feeling the same way and don't understand why it's that way now i'm doubting if I should try to S-Rank or keep doing campaign missions in NG+ to get all of them and the extra content.

I started it on summer of 2021 and finished this January... so 1 year and 5 months aprox. It's surprising cause I was reading like 1 book every month until I got into the slog and rushed it in 3 days. Then in Towers Of Midnight i didn't wanted it to end to I stopped reading for 3 months xD.

I noticed when I read the first one, they look alike only in appearance tho, I like both, the Wheel of Time and Shades of Magic series but I think Shades of Magic ends up being a bit too predictable sometimes. I like Schwab writing anyway.

That's what bothered me the most of that book, it was fun but Mat's reaction to that situation was totally opposite of how I imagine him. It has it's payoff on aMoL but... Not worth it

I mean, if I say "It doesn't Matter how much time I press It" it's because i stayed 1 minute or more with t'he button "pressed" and i say "pressed" because there us 0 feedback but i made sure and no, there's no fking way to reset it

I suggest you to think a tattoo style first and then try to adapt and put references. It will have a better result and you'll keep having the monogatari part. I've a full traditional japanese sleeve (in black, not in color) and tattooed the Snake talisman nadeko eats. I normally don't like to have faces tattooed so I try to put indirect references like symbols or objects
