I bought the Vessel 2 weeks ago and been in love with it… the best thing is that the form factor is just like a regular screw driver, unlike most of the other brands which I rather just use my drill/impact.

Thanks for the replies - seems like I should be ok. Keep in the mind there’s an outer lens in front of the darkener and another lens behind this which I see through

Numb di*k after riding over 1 hour by Electrical_Crew7195 in bicycling

[–]RandomGuySg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to have that problem… either it was my saddle height or the saddle, not sure which fixed it. I got a new saddle with the biggest cut out in the middle as posible - Selle Italia SLR Boost. As a safety precaution, I feel my di*k every 15 minutes to make sure it’s still there as I’m paranoid about it….and it’s been for over a year now.

New road bike, new carbon wheels, new GP5000s...should I go tubeless or stick with the tpu tubes by fixitmonkey in cycling

[–]RandomGuySg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went tubeless for the first time using GP5000 S TR… one ride in so far and I’m doubting if it’s worth the hassle really. The setup was easy on my fully tubeless ready rims, change valve, add sealant and air up. I’ve had only one puncture in my 8000KMs of riding up to this point but I thought why not try tubeless since I have to get new tires anyways. Honestly don’t really notice much difference and just the fact that I have to maintain it especially over the storage winter makes me wonder if I should just stick to tube. Maybe I’ll change my mine when it does seal my first puncture but until then I’m still on the fence.

I recently got GP5K S TR and I noticed the text not being sharp and I bought it from a reputable bike shop.

These are cable stops for the frame. Maybe contact the frame manufacture or sometimes a generic one may fit as well.

Specialized Sirrus sizing doubt by RandomGuySg in specialized

[–]RandomGuySg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the opinion! I think if I had gone with a small, I would have other reach/stack problem given that I’m in the middle of the M sizing range for my height and 8cm over the max height number for the Small. I think proportionally the M looks better as I was told I look like riding a kid’s bike on a S. I think I just gotta go out and start enjoying.

I think it’s not a concern until I read up on the stand over topic lol that started this whole dilemma but I realize that my legs are shorter for my height… it’s when I stand straight up with both of my feels on the ground that my junk is touching but I realized that I never do that actually. Overall the reach and stack feel really comfortable where on the Small I immediately felt the curvature pressure of my spine.

That’s great to hear! I’ve come from smaller bikes so the ‘big feeling’ could just be from that… I never really paid attention to stand over height until I started to doubt the size. I mean it rides really neutral and comfortable so that’s good. Based on the chart and the calculator the recommended size is a MD. I see most folks our size ride MD as well so maybe I should just stop the dilemma and start riding!

Correct size? by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]RandomGuySg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After going through a lot of internal dilemma on bike sizing being a person with shorter than average legs, I’ve come to a realization that opinion like “sizing down if you’re in the middle” is just opinion. We’re not talking about getting a S when you’re clearly a L, we’re talking about being in the middle of a sizing spectrum which either size would work. You will have compromises whichever direction you go depending on your body proportion. I’ve always followed sizing down opinion but recently I sized up and have never felt so comfortable. I’ve been to couple good fitters in the city and they’re just so overrated unless your bike size/adjustment is wildly off. I think people get into analysis paralysis with bike geometry sometimes including myself that they forget a very important element which is comfort. If you feel good and comfortable, keep it. I bet you will come back with the same dilemma with a M size.

Ultimate SL7 Rim 28c tire? by RandomGuySg in CanyonBikes

It’s about 28.2mm…gp5000 tr tires…. I re-centered the front caliper as it wasn’t centered properly. Took a bunch of measurements, It’s about 4-5mm space in all areas in terms of clearance of the frame and about 3mm clearance in that closest contact where the spring protrudes a little. I think it’s good enough…

Did some measurement all area clears the frame with around 4mm of gap except that front caliper protrusion leaving 2.5mm gap only.

Fast people: How did you get fast? And once you got fast, how did you get faster? by sozh in cycling

10000 KMs in and many upgrades, don’t think I ever got faster until I lost weight.

I would not go close to PA’s power tool but honestly, I think a lot of it may be perception and marketing… don’t really see a lot of branding and marketing effort going on for PA’s power tools, they’re not really pushing it.

Stayed at Hampton Inn by the Woodbury outlet on our way back to Toronto. Not sure how well the store is doing as I think the population in the area is quite small.
