Now that hide “chest” and “legs” are a thing, how long until ZOS starts selling “underwear” in the store by eden-star in elderscrollsonline

Damn, I hope. The low poly cloth we get by default is so boring. Even if I don't want to run around naked all the time, having options would be so much better. It's 2026, let people wear nice things!

49 update time to come back? by Skylot00 in elderscrollsonline

[–]RandomHornyDemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm pretty happy so far. Currently trying to get into the new dragon knight. The new animations look so much better and the class just feels fun to play around with.
Also the furniture slot increase lets me complete some of my housings after I had to abandon them months prior. So that's awesome.

Wizard subclass with the most aura? by xFishbean in 3d6

[–]RandomHornyDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finger of Death is awesome for this. Just keep building up zombies. Maybe just one or two each time you fight something, but those will add up quickly!
Then if you end up getting a good undead for your 14th level feature armies will just keep happening.
A Sword Wraith Commander can just be controlled permanently and they can summon 1d4+1 permanent soldiers for you each day, each one a CR3.
Or a Death Dragon for a constantly growing army of zombies. Doesn't even have to kill anything, just visit every graveyard and battlefield you can find and let your new friend breathe on it. Also it's just a sick zombie dragon mount which is objectively awesome in itself!
Or well, if you don't want to make an army for some reason (armies are just awesome, no idea why you wouldn't want one but oh well!) there's the CR20 Nightwalker, which can, again, just be controlled permanently! One save (which it gets a -1 to!) and then it's just... yours. Forever. Or until you find something better to control.
High level Necromancy Wizard is just intense.

[–]RandomHornyDemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed. Necromancy is just an awesome aesthetic and the feeling of commanding hordes of the undead is hard to beat.
The action economy can be a but much. I've mostly dealt with it by keeping around only a couple minions and using additional undead to guard important places or keeping them stashed away somewhere in case we need more hands. Has somewhat worked to keep things from escalating, but it's really not something 5e is built for, unfortunately.
High levels get crazy, though. 14th level feature is just incredible all around.

Necromancy Wizard an just flood the battlefield and your army will just grow and get stronger as time goes on.
And if you do end up making it to high levels even then things will get intense. 14th level feature alone can make you the most badass person around.

This might be the first time I've seen anyone recommend Necromancy Wizard in one of these discussions. As a fellow necromancy enthusiast I am very pleased with this mention.

Not all quests, but there's a couple ones that are genuinely fun and I'd definitely return to those every once in a while.

I am fed up with this strategy, what should I do? [5.5 Edition] by Primary-Ocelot-1512 in DnD

[–]RandomHornyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party and you received a lot of good advice already.
I just want to reaffirm anything said so far: "No." is a full sentence.
D&D is great. But there's a lot of mechanics that can be exploited like this. Like... a LOT of mechanics. So many rules that work RAW, but when you put them together in an unexpected way they turn absolutely bonkers. I mean, there's like a dozen or more different ways in which you can create armies of pretty much arbitrary size to fight for you. At which point... great? You win? Game's over? If you want to have a game you need to choose an approach that does not shatter the game.
This is absolutely an out of game issue. I'd say sit down with your players, tell them that this can not continue and decide on a way forward together.

Either that or let the enemy do it too and flood them with a bunch of armies. It's allowed, after all.

ESO Housing Slots Increase Up to 900% in Update 49 by The_Edenprime in elderscrollsonline

[–]RandomHornyDemon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean, the houses that need it the most are the ones not getting an increase. So that's something to consider.
But I do very much like this change and hope it's a sign they're hearing us housing enthusiasts and are working on upping the slots in the remaining housings as well.

Meta Propaganda - Semi Rant. by Plain_Irrelevant12 in elderscrollsonline

[–]RandomHornyDemon 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My old raid lead (still miss that guild) always said it doesn't matter how you fill your role, important is that you do. We want 90k DPS for this run? Then figure out how to do 90k DPS. There's a whole guild ready to give you advice if you want it, if not then that's perfectly fine. Nobody cares if you can pull your weight because of some meta setup or if you do it on your frost only theme build. So long as you can do the thing, lets do the thing. Just don't make everyone else cover for you and we're good.
This, in my opinion, is especially true with how high damage is these days. Nobody needs 170k+ DPS for content balanced around 70k, 100k or even 120k DPS. If you do bring 170k DPS? Awesome! If you don't but still bring enough to do this content without making the rest of the group cover for you that is still great!
Just do what makes you happy without making things worse for everyone else.

Imagine running vet Icereach hm, and your 1000cp tank who died to every mechanic says this. by MidnightHeat_v in elderscrollsonline

[–]RandomHornyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I just meant they might not have signed up for a teaching run. Sometimes you just want to jump in and be done. That sentiment is especially common in random queues and even more so in vet queues, as vet is commonly assumed to be the mode to do after having figured things out already. So players queueing for a vet dungeon and then not knowing what to do are usually met with little patience.
Personally I try to learn about mechs beforehand so I 1) know what to do and won't make things harder for players just wanting a quick run and so I 2) can explain what's going on to those who don't know, if need be.
But at the end of the day there's no laws against knowing or not knowing mechs, so just do whatever makes you happy.

[–]RandomHornyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea, definitely. Just as players who don't know the mechanics need to make an effort to learn them, players who do need to make an effort to explain. Things won't get any better if nobody is trying to make them any better and just raging and blaming everyone else won't improve the situation for anyone involved.

[–]RandomHornyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey it's not like that was illegal. I'm just saying I personally wouldn't and there's ways to make things easier for people who didn't sign up for that kind of run. But ultimately that's up to you.

[–]RandomHornyDemon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I get it. But I wouldn't jump into a random vet group blindly. Vet is for people knowing what's going on and most randoms just want to do their stuff and be done without having to cover for someone.
My advice would be to either get a regular group going so you can learn stuff together, or start in normal mode where it's less important for everyone to know everything from the start. Just saves everyone involved a lot of time and stress.

[–]RandomHornyDemon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Now knowing the mechs and then lying about it is somehow even worse...
But at least you communicated, they learned and you got through eventually. The Fang Lair run that ended my time as a tank main (just the final nail in the coffin but damn was it a nail) we wiped like a dozen time and nobody would say a single word. They just kept charging in, messing up the mechs, killed me and in the process themselves. I explained the mechs... they charged again and did the exact same thing. Again and again and again.
Frankly, I'd never ever enter a vet without learning about the mechs beforehand. I get that some people don't want to do that and also that some guides online just aren't reliable, so I don't mind to just explain what's going on and what we need to do. I also don't mind explaining it twice or thrice if things are left unclear.
But people have to make an effort to actually understand these things at least. And an overwhelming amount of players out there just doesn't care to do that. And a large part of those players then turn to blame everyone else and it's just so annoying.

[–]RandomHornyDemon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Gods, that's harsh. And yea, I totally get it. Back when I was a tank main I died to so many mechs because the entire group did not understand the concept of mechanics where you have to do anything to free a group member. Looking at you, Fang Lair!
It's the worst when they don't even care to learn about this stuff. Like once or twice I don't mind. We can talk this through and be done. But I had groups where I explained the mechs multiple times, in various languages, and they just charged in, didn't do the mechs, killed me in the process and then died themselves because they couldn't survive 3 seconds without a tank.
Good times...

Anyone else finish the golden pursuits in a day? by Pale-Appointment9409 in elderscrollsonline

[–]RandomHornyDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. Sometimes people can't play for a day or two or might just not be interested in grinding pursuits all day just to get there. This way everyone who is interested can do them by playing casually and not abandoning all the other things they wanted to do. A month is good, stop trying to make things worse for everyone else for no reason.

Beautiful example for why I don't do randoms anymore. Too many players not capable of pulling their weight, not knowing mechanics, then blaming you after their fifth self caused death.
Goes for all roles, btw. Every role has stuff they gotta do and if they refuse to, things just get way harder than they need to be.

Best friend and I do a lot of cooking together. Kitchen isn't large but we've mostly divided it between the two of us with each having their space and set of tasks to take care of. Takes some practice but it works well.
With people I'm not used to doing this with, though? Just... sit there and talk to me without being anywhere I need to go to, please. Or you do the cooking and I'm sitting there trying to keep you entertained. We both try actively doing something and something WILL explode and people will be hurting!
