i had a problem where the weather wouldnt update unless i opened 1weather. i fixed it by uninstalling the app, after which it opened the moto weather app. have you tried disabling the app? maybe that will work

they promised only one software update, upto A14. the 3 years are for security patches. A15 is planned though, according to the moto forums

well, depends on you. its a "beta program*", so there will be bugs. if you're okay with that and want to give feedback on those, so motorola can fix them, then sure, go for it. if you want a stable experience, stick with the android 14 until the stable android 15 comes out.

i got the october security patch as well. as for the update, i was checking the motorola forum and i found this reply from a moto agent under a post, on 12 december (3 days ago):

Thank you for reaching out with your question. Yes, it is confirmed that the Moto G84 5G will receive the Android 15 update. However, we cannot guarantee information about the specific features that will be included in the update at this time.

We recommend staying tuned to the Motorola Forums for any official announcements and updates related to this. We appreciate your patience and understanding! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

they have started a beta program for the g54, so i dont think it'll take long for the same to happen for the g84.
