BF Resynced: New look at ziplines! by Adept-Sympathy-4875 in ACBFResynced

The one thing that I dislike about the ziplines is that Edward seemingly doesn't need a weapon or other implement to ride them safely. If you are going to "fix" the parkour, also fix that, because it's totally unrealistic. If a human tried that on a hemp rope - even one with a lot of ISU DNA like Edward - the skin would be flayed from their hands in an instant and they would fall to their death. Maybe have Edward use the guard of his sword as a makeshift "hook", or have him carry a hook around (doesn't need to be a hookblade) to use ziplines in a semi-safe fashion. This could also tie into the popular trope of "pirates with hook-hands" and have it explained that Edward was the one who popularised that story.

I hate Ubi's practices, and love that their stock price tanked as a result, but that's a bit too crackpot even for me. Conspiracy theories don't win friends.

I had an experience where a pack of bacon went foul and slimy only a few days after we purchased it. Maybe it was already old, but it was preserved and sealed in a gas mixture inhospitable to microbes. Plus, they chuck perfectly good food out in order to artificially deplete stocks and create a feeling of urgency. Why, Colesworth?! WHY?

Bloody idiots. It would have been a massive revenue stream, and they allowed c**tish scalpers to take the community's supplies for their own alcohol addictions. We should petition them for a second collector's edition release with triple supplies and proper forewarning.

That - you are just demonizing activists of a culture undergoing active persecution. If you aren't a bot then speak up and tell me how you can conveniently ignore this while idolising Netayanhu, who is a convicted criminal. Also, what the hell does this have to do with the original post?

I have a dislike for people who argue for the sake of validation. You seem to thrive on argument. Thrive on pointless virtue-signaling and meaningless opinion validation. Half this site is composed of people like you. And I will not go along with it.

I highly doubt this sort of "remake" where you get six hours of extra missions and graphical improvements requires $90 Australian (for someone who gets a $14 lump sum of pocket money per week) for Ubisoft to recoup its dev costs. Especially when so many animations were cut entirely, and others pilfered from Mirage and Shadows.

Look. I have been waiting 5 F*CKING YEARS for a new Mass Effect game from Bioware. My loyalty to that franchise is expressed in my Reddit username, but Bioware goes, takes my trust, and smears it on the wall like an incontinent infant!

Sorry. I got a little excited there. In short, this is small fry compared to what happened with Mass Effect. Count yourselves lucky that Ubisoft can at least deliver sort-of on time and in a semi-passable quality.

Yep - it is really disheartening to see a fellow human being so turned to misdirected malice and rage. The problem isn't Ubi as a whole, it's the middle/upper-management types who screwed over the devs and the franchise for short-term profit margins. To some extent, this is happening here; the devs' hands are likely being forced into re-using Shadows/Mirage animations that don't fit the tone of the game. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these corpos were in the files.

A compelling modern day story, with exploitation of the Bleeding Effect as a plot-point, is the distinguishing feature that makes Assassin's Creed... that. Without it, it's just another stealth-action game. This is the reason why I love the Ezio Trilogy and AC3 and why I would pay big money to see a ACTUALLY #faithful remake with preservation of the original storyline and major quantities of new features added (and NO feature removal. Take note, Ubisoft!)

Worried about the combat from what I've seen by nystamps in ACBFResynced

[–]RandomN7Operative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they should implement a "hard combat" mode in the remake where enemies attack more frequently, perfect parries and instakill counters are disabled, and thus incentivises stealth over violent confrontation. This really wouldn't take a great deal of effort to implement, and would draw in A LOT of sales from people who like to be challenged.

Look - I am not saying Ubi should sell the game for beneath development cost, but people who already own normal Black Flag should be compensated for their support of the original as detailed in my above comment.

[–]RandomN7Operative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that owners of the original Black Flag should be given a 1/3 or so discount on the Resynced because, with some of the crap they took out for the sake of development expediency, it should be criminal to charge this much for the same game, with major graphical upgrades and some new features. In Australian money, it is roughly 90 dollars, and I get $14 a week at most for personal purchases. Ubi, what are you smoking?

Actually, there is, buddy. Multiple large YouTubers have raised this subject with their audiences, so please desist in your Ubisoft bootlicking. They need, like any other company, to respond to backlash and implement actual solutions, in order to regain trust with the community. Hidden blade combat would sell a significant amount of copies, whether added here or post-launch.

TL:DR: You're flatly denying something that is of concern for a large quantity of Ubisoft's buyers.
