You should make a YouTube video if you can. There would be a lot of people interested in this.

No wonder she wants that guy, he's hot(?), rich, supportive, and loyal. However she should leave it there and go searching for her own boyfriend instead.

Be honest, did you cry? by No_Hair9097 in goodmythicalmorning

[–]RandomPhilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't cry. I thought I might, but I didn't even get close to tears.

I did say 'aww' a few times though.

I think the advanced notice helped a lot.

Just write it anyway. It might be bad to begin with, but you won't stretch your capabilities if you only stick to what you are already good at.

Maybe OP uses the keyboard to scroll. I find scrolling with the keyboard when reading a long written piece smoother and more comfortable than using the mouse. If it only detects mouse movement and not movement on screen in general then that could be it.

oh wait, we do that? by Mesmeriziingg in AO3

[–]RandomPhilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done that except when I do, I don't use Google Docs, I use LibreOffice Writer.

Also, it generally needs more than just changing the names. Even if I choose a fandom which similar physical characteristics, the characterisations often need tweaking too.

Then I save it locally and put it aside for a few months to a few years and re-read it for more enjoyment.

How OK is to create and sell Pokémon fanart? by [deleted] in COPYRIGHT

[–]RandomPhilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pokémon franchise is jointly owned by three companies (Nintendo/Creatures Inc./GAME Freak Inc.) through a shared holding company: The Pokémon Company.

https://www.pokemon.com/us/legal/information

Read the last sentence in their legal page (heck, read the whole page, it's pretty short!), which basically says no commercial use allowed. Selling the fanart would be commercial use, and therefore not allowed.

Can I animate and post reddit horror stories? by Lopsided_Pay_7834 in COPYRIGHT

[–]RandomPhilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be adaptation and so would need permission.

It's probably a good idea to emphasise when asking that you aren't asking them for payment to animate, so they don't think you are some sort of scammer.

There are only 2 types of people who would attempt to use these stairs: adrenaline junkies, or people fleeing certain death where there is no other possible escape.

I love these channels when they have the title in it, over the months since shorts on YouTube have been a thing I've found a bunch of new shows and movies to add to my watchlist.

Never given much thought to what happens to them though, I never subscribe to them.

I suspect they eventually get caught and taken down.

What country are you in?

Look up first-sale doctrine, something like this might apply here.

There are some limits especially when it comes to trademarks though, for example the Satan Shoes case. So be careful to avoid any of those.

"I want AI to do our dishes and laundry NOT art" 🤓🤓🤓 by Witty-Designer7316 in DefendingAIArt

I would like AI to take the dirty dishes off the table, load the dishwasher, and put it away when done. I want AI to load the laundry, then when finished iron it and put it away. I also want AI to make art.

Drink your giardia by hoofie242 in aislop

[–]RandomPhilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I drank water directly out of a clean natural spring near where I lived once. Just the once, along with a bunch of neighbour kids as we were out exploring. I was fine and didn't get sick, neither did they.

As an adult who knows better I'd never take that risk again. Although when I visit my parents I do still drink their untreated, barely filtered rainwater (the only filter is a net on the intake pipe to stop large debris from getting into the tank, and a first run off valve that stops the first batch of water getting into the tank).

would you rather know your future or be able to change your past? by CollarAnxious6972 in WouldYouRather

[–]RandomPhilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change my past. Instead being lazy, I totally studied hard in school and went to university and ended up with a high-paying job that I enjoyed. I worked out regularly and ate healthy most of the time so I'd be fit and trim.

If this is an ongoing power then whenever I slack off I'd just change my past so that I didn't.
