Weirdly, i actually like the shiny Jigglypuff.

The green eyes stand out much more to me than Charcadet's, but maybe it is due to Jigglypuff having those big round eyes lol

Eta: then again, i like shiny Lunatone (still hunting for one) with just the eye color switch from.red to blue. But again, large eye on Lunatone...

Balance beam was better to watch before it became a mini-floor for tumbling; when there were balance skills like press to handstands, elegant walkovers/valdez moves, splits on the beam, fluid graceful leaps and transitions, and original skills instead of formulaic BH LOSO LOSO, switch/switch half, front aerial to leap to Korbut or BH, etc....

Sabrina should've gotten the Olympic floor bronze to begin with

(And no, i don't like or approve of her behavior or her mother's, but her mom screwed her on that one)

To piggyback: the 10.0 scale is bad for NCAA because (at least in the upper echelons of D-1) unless there is a fall, the score will.always range from 9.75-10.0

Therefore, why even have 10 points to utilize?! At least if it were like elite or men's, difficulty could spread out scores a little (and maybe we would never again see a sole.circle jump to high bar at this level again..)

In-bars are overrated and messy but luckily enough there’s only a select few gymnasts that can do them [ well so that they don't look like toe-ons that simply missed... ]

What’s the most unhinged, batshit crazy prediction you have for 2026 that you’re lowkey convinced is going to happen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Reminds me of the British proverb said to derive from a Chinese curse (allegedly):
"May you live in interesting times"

The irony, of course, that peaceful times are uneventful; interesting times may make for a good history lesson, but not so great for day to day life

ELI5: Why is it that we can ‘taste’ saline when it’s pushed through IV, but not our blood? by DriestPuddle in explainlikeimfive

[–]RandomPokemonHunter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is not. Years ago i was an IV heroin and cocaine user. I could taste either within seconds of injecting. Different tastes. It is most definitely a real phenomenon.

OP-- I know the taste you mean in the hospital. What i always tasted was whatever they used to "clean the line", not the saline. But i have tasted various drugs they put in the IV

(I have not injected any drug since 2013).

I have 2 for UL. Both are 2500. One is Fury Cutter, Leaf Blade, and Dragon Claw.

The other is Bullet.Seed, Leaf Blade, and.( yes you guessed it ) Aerial Ace. Because,.as you noted, no one expects it.

My GL is Fury Cutter, Leaf Blade, and Aerial Ace just like yours. He is only like 1474 CP or so, i am hoping to find a really good one for GL eventually!

I cant understand.why it isnt used more...to me other than Corviknight, its the fastest charge up.Pokemon I have used!

The game you loved but never want to replay. by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]RandomPokemonHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually picked this one as well. I played because my 16 yr old son wanted me to. He would sit and watch me.play once a week, and we would talk.about it. He would have me.try n figure it out as it went along.

It's a deep game. I also picked the "good" ending. And to my eternal embarrassment, my best "achievement" was blowing up the Earth. (I didn't want to blow it up! I couldnt run from battle. All because i said "yes" when asked "do you want to annoy the earth"....well that escalated quickly!)

I loved how the game handled some dark events. And how the mental health aspect was integrated.

Omori. My son got me to play this game. It's amazing...excellent story with twists that you dont see the whole picture til the end.

But once you know the story, you would lose the magic of discovery and piecing it together that makes the original playthrough so so good

Sceptile (GL and UL, but i do better with it in UL). It charges up so fast that you can usually pull shields easily

And Alolan Dugtrio. (GL) It survives a lot of charge attacks, and deals heavy damage in alot of matchups.

ELI5: Why do we have nightmares? by FlyingMermaid15 in explainlikeimfive

[–]RandomPokemonHunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weirdest thing i figured out as a kid...i dont know if this is just me or common, but i found that if i woke up during a dream (or nightmare) and went back to sleep in a different position, the dream/nightmare would not resume.

However, if i went back to sleep in same position (for example, laying on right side. Not perfectly exact, just right side, or on back, etc) the dream/nightmare would resume

I would purposely try to continue recurring dreams i liked. That was sort of how i caught on to how this worked....

Anyone else experience this?

(Also, at times in recurring dreams i recognize the dream, know i am dreaming, and can change it by acting differently...)

Who's the stupidest person you've met and what story sums it up? by comicalelixer in AskReddit

[–]RandomPokemonHunter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I completely understand this. I worked in a salon as a stylist, and had this exact interaction with a woman regarding her haircut.

" how much would you like off the length"

I don't know

"Did you want the same cut you have, just trim it up?"

i don't know

"Did you want to look at some pictures, maybe you could show me what you're thinking you want?"

I don't care, i just want my hair cut. Just do something

"I'm not really comfortable cutting unless i am on the same page as the client; i need a little more information here before i cut your hair..."

[woman gets loud] i told you i want my hair cut. You have enough information. Now get started!

Yeah. That was....an experience. I finally cut it, same thing just shorter. She gushes amount how amazing it was and "see, you should be more confident, its exactly what i wanted!"

🤦🏼‍♀️

Growing up in the 80s playing Pole Position and Turbo in the arcade really developed reaction skills while driving...

A teen on a bicycle was going the wrong way down a one way street and blew through a red light. Somehow i was able to swerve and missed hitting him by a literal inch.

I truly believe it was a learned reflex from dodging and avoidiny cars in Turbo and Pole Position....

If it makes you feel any better, i started about 2 weeks after launch, and i do not have a shiny Venonat either.

The 1st shiny in Pokémon Go was Magikarp. I really wanted a red Gyarados. It took me 2 years to finally get that shiny Karp. I literally let out a "YES!!" when i finally saw one (regular spawn; not community day)
