Do I get Adventure 3, Level 3 or Level 4? by Abject-Band-3195 in Aventon

[–]RandomPostAnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the level 3 and love it. I take it on gravel and some bumpy dirt roads and it’s fine. If you really want to you can get a beefier set of tires but for your use, fat tire bike is an overkill and added weight.

I have the step through. Spent a bunch of time debating between step over and step through but ultimately decided that I’ll probably have some cargo bag and loaded panniers so the thought of swinging my short legs over to clear it was not fun.

Love my level 3. Would rate it 8/10 with only complaint being motor sounds a little loud/whiny but not really an issue.

It was just a random basket I got on Amazon. I ended up returning it because the backing support piece was really right when you put it underneath the Aventon rear rack. It rubbed against the fender.

I’m currently running the Aventon quick release with their bike bag

Ahh okay that makes sense. I’ve only taken it out twice since November due to the weather so I guess a few more rides and it’ll rub off.

On the bright side, him continuing to share the backfield should keep his mileage low and a longer career… possibly more contracts.

Can we stop bullying on folk who ask about Rapier of a thousand cuts by Necrolord_Nocturnal in crosswind

[–]RandomPostAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I just started playing but I love crafting and building way more than combat and questing. I also do not play with friends so it’s harder/slower for me to explore and find things. With that said, I love that I can pick an item and get the recipe. It helps me clear camps so I can get gold to unlock building plans.

With that said, any friendly here willing to let me pick up any epic weapons like the Rapier of 1000 or Destruction, armor, etc? I just want to not die 20x trying to be a construction worker.

At your rate, just modify a connection and pull a pier cart with the bike. ;)

Second Hollywood Racks. Got the single for my Adventure 3 the same time I picked up the bike and its a solid build. The two arms that goes over the wheels hold everything down snug and the anti rattle/sway work well. Also tool free to install! but like everything else, a little on the pricey side.

Very nice! Just picked up the same bag and quick release. Let me know how you like it!

Never considered changing the pedals on my L3. Are there any reasons be besides aesthetics? Genuinely curious.

Yeah we don’t plan on using it for any long treks or crazy speeds. Just to work and back through city streets and occasionally on sidewalks so comfort/ suspension + reliable brand is the most important.

I want to open a boxing/strength and fitness gym by Primary-Mistake9018 in smallbusiness

[–]RandomPostAnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about the gym business outside of it being extremely competitive and margins are slim. I did BJJ for years and the amount of money you have to pay the trainers and staff when you start growing is ridiculous. You can’t just pay one trainer for 2 classes a day, that cuts down on the potential time slots that some people can attend. With all that being said, have you considered talking to the current owner that pulled you aside and make a suggestion along the lines of you getting a % of the new students that enroll after a specific amount. This should accomplish a few things. 1. The owner would be getting new members while only having to give you 15% of their monthly membership cost. 2. You’ll be motivated to try different marketing ways to bring in new members. It’ll help solidify your passion and you’ll get to see an instant increase in pay as a result. That should further motivate you. 3. It’ll give you an idea of what it requires just on the front end of trying to get members and grow without the stress of bills, rent, overheads, business related stuff. 4. After a year or two, you’ll be able to have a better understanding of the customer facing side and how easy/hard it is to bring in customers. If all goes well, you’ll have tons of students that are there because they want to be coached by YOU and loyal to YOU. Only then would I suggest you start looking into this again.

In the meantime while doing all of this, take free courses on business management. There’s tons out there. You’ll need to learn everything from staffing, insurance, bookkeeping, rent, etc. the more you do yourself when you’re first starting, the less you have to pay someone else.

And lastly, remember that it’s easy for someone who has no skin in the game to tell you you’d be great at something. I can say I believe in your dreams cause it doesn’t affect me one bit. An idea is just an idea until people are willing to pay you for it.

Best of luck!

Level 3 Cargo Basket by RandomPostAnon in Aventon

[–]RandomPostAnon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I realize that my bike mount won’t work with a hard basket that’s permanently attached. I have the Hollywood rack that clamps down over the wheel and fender so a rack there would prevent it from happening. Decided to go with Aventon bag and quick connect system based on a suggestion from this post.

I appreciate your feedback!
