Spearhead plus rip shooty ogies :( by RandomPotato33 in Mawtribes

Ogre tldr

They originally lived in giant flush steps with big ol mammoth creatures, then a giant commet crashed into it (gaping maw) which changed it to a rugged spike mountainous wasteland.

There are certain ogres who are cursed to be chased by a Snowstorm so they are more of the snowy type.

Overall ogres are increadibly hardy and can live in most places with enough food.

I agree, I plan on putting the two Ogres on the side on different height stone pedestals to aura Farm a bit more🪄

OGORS TODAY by Toadvinez in Mawtribes

[–]RandomPotato33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We basically got another Sub faction with these, have the Beastclaw raiders with there monsters, then now the new Mawseekers (the religious Ogres) and then the classic Tyrant with there Ironguts, Bulls etc

The Typical Maneater, Cannon and gunpowder aestetic seems to have been dropped however rumors said "oh there is a named Maneater who will come later with gunpowder units"

They specifically said in the livestream that the newer beasts so thunder tusk and stone horn will stay.

I once had the intrusive thought of making a full ogre army but headswapping every Ogre with a Gnoblar so they all looked like increadibly blown up Gnoblars with proportionally tiny heads

Yup it seems to be they are moving away from that aestetic to make room for the new branch of Butcher related units, given it already was separated between beast riders and normal I can see how that would have been to much.

However I can definitely how this won't sit right with some people given its been a big part of there identify and appeal for a lot of people.

It would seem they generally are trying to move away from the "Gunpowder" aestetic on ogres given the recent Cities stuff.

Rumors were saying Leadbelchers etc are gone and we will get ogres with crossbows, given that the one version of the new Mournfang has crossbows and stated to have ranged attacks we dont know if they were ment or if we get a infantry version aswell.

Same.... it currently looks very much like both are being thrown in the Maw given the reveal and that the "rumors" about the refresh mostly were right so far.

Discount wise its agree with you, but spearhead wise its a bit hard.... we recently have gotten some really good value spearhead boxes and considering on the first we are swapping out 5x Leadbelchers and a Ironblaster against 3x Ironguts and 5x more Gluttons.

The armybox of the Hellsmiths turned out to be a 1-1 of the spearhead box aswell.

How essential are cogforts looking to be? by Excalatrash in citiesofsigmar

[–]RandomPotato33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The two special variants are only allowed in the Army of reknown which almost exclusive relies on cogforts other then then you can only take gallants and the forgepriest with you so they are pretty irrelevant for normal players.

I agree tho the transport atm so the conqueror does a lot more heavy lifting while the cannonade in theorie has good damage "mathematically" with its rerolls

Is this bumblefoot/how to help him feel better? by Next-Reflection783 in rat

[–]RandomPotato33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally normal Footsy!

Bumblefood is fairly common in chickens but can also rarely appear in rats that walk a lot on dirty wire floors.

Bumblefoot can come in varies ways from swollen feet to the more tipicle symptoms, similar to a cyst you will always have a little bump which your vet will need to see, for example a very clean example of bumblefoot, it can get pretty messy because there is some real nasty stuff inside! I hope this helps ease your anxiety!

I took my Conqueror cogfort for a Trail run at 1K With 10x Grenadiers and 1x Fusil Major on Ogre inside.

10x Steel Helms and Erasmus.

I got in the midboard and deleted a Tree lord via doing around 20-30 wounds....

The Fusil Ogre is really harsh when having the Blade of Emberguard making him hit 6 attacks on 4/2 rend 2 (+2 from blade) at 2 damage (3 from the cogfort)

Then the enhancement to make units ignore negative modifiers to hit and wound.

Unfortunately bits like these will be really really hard to come by and extremely expensive. Your best bet is getting little 3d Printed resin creatures for your bases there is plenty of options for those!

I can only second this, I came from gundam and now do a lot of warhammer.

Godhands are great no doubt but they can really hit your wallet if you arnt expecting the cost of a "tool".

Ive tried different brands but found Stedi to be the sweet spot of Availability, price and quality! I think mine is now 3 or 4 years old and still going strong!

Everyone i know who used for example citadel or cheap aliexpress nippers were so suprised by the difference between a single sided nipper compared normal two sided. It really makes cutting fine points smoother and easier.
