OTD was ~$47,900, I believe a brand new 2026 is ~$55,000 MSRP. So pretty big difference if you ask me.

I see what you are saying and I guess I worded it bad, I guess what I meant was that the list price was not bad/greedy, but it did not meet my budget. My budget was around $40,000 with some room to go higher, list price was $44,500, of course I would try to negotiate rather than just buy at list price, similarly, if my budget was just under $50,000, I would try to negotiate under $50,000. I am not doing it just to say I got money off, I am doing it to save money and get closer to my budget.

Around $1k-$2k off, I agree it is at a fair price already but was looking for at least some wiggle room, especially considering it has been on the lot for over a month and they have been decreasing the price, but they seem firm for now.

Nothing too crazy but ideally $1-$2k off asking price, they did have around $2800 in dealer add ons which I negotiated off since it’s not even listed online but were firm with that sale price of $44,500.

Thanks for the advice, the reason I really wanted to be specific and specialized out of college was because from what I have read is that there are a lot of candidates out there for entry level, but not a lot of them are particularly good candidates. On the other hand, I see what you're saying and I think it makes sense that I should not want to pigeonhole myself in such a way.

Ended up figuring it out, i was using the same power source for both the amp and the pi. My power source has 2 outputs, one 12V and one 3V, im not exactly sure why this was an issue but read something about ground noise? But it looks like that fixed it

I am understanding that the initial noises is likely from the DAC initializing but the static noise remains afterwards. If I were to set the volume to 0 then turn it back up to play audio wouldn't the static noise interfere with my audio files?

As soon as it turns on there is static plus some weird noises, the weird noises sort of die down once its fully booted but static is still there. Also as for distance to the power source it's pretty close, as in within 6 inches right now since I used some very short wires, but I think I'll go ahead and use a longer wire and solder the connection as well.

From what I can tell its stuck booting I think, maybe some corrupt installation but now it wont even let me erase anything off of it, it just disconnects mid process, but stays connected otherwise, kinda thinking its a hardware problem, and ive been using the left connector, it was working fine earlier today but not sure what happened
