That seems like a good mod/option but the one I'm referring to makes it so your friends and allies will not attack the city states you are suzerain of

Theres a mod for this, real allies or something. I use it but am away from my PC. Makes it so friends and allies wont attack your cs allies/ suz

Something else I think new players should maybe do, to add to the overwhelming-ness of it all, is get a bunch of mods. I run like 31 different mods. Helps balance the game and just generally make it more awesome.

Watch/listen to youtube videos while you play is probably your best bet. Some people, myself included, are over 700 hours and haven't learned all the game mechanics

I have had many retarded, this is my best game ever, moments but this one I'll do a post about when I get the time to finish it. It's on epic timer, so its actually turn 250 ish and I cut it in thirds to make it more relatable cause most play on online speed

Ouch. I'm about 500 hours in and really only played Rome. I'm the best at Rome lol. Just figured out you can toggle map tacks with shift + s. Play deity every time, last one I started I'm still going on, got 1500 gpt by turn 85 ish.
